JMP® requires the JAVA® COBRA component to connect to SAS®. In JAVA 11, this module has been depreciated. As a result we suggest some installations of JMP 14.2 or older might not be able to connect to SAS. Currently the only work around is to export files to SAS Transport File (XPT) or Comma Separated Values (CSV) file types to share between JMP and SAS. [Previously JMP Note 63875]
Yes. Use the "Manova" fitting personality in the Fit Model platform with multiple response columns. In the Response Specification section of the resulting Manova Fit, check the box next to Univariate Tests Also. Then, click on the Choose Response drop down menu and select Repeated Measures. Click OK in the dialog that appears (edit the "Y Name" field if desired). In the resulting output, the epsil...
The Clear Log() function is designed to clear the contents of the log. At seemingly random times, the function does not actually clear the contents of the log. As a workaround, open a new script window and run Clear Log(). [Previously JMP Note 62603]
Due to a required change related to HelpKeys, scripts that are created in an earlier release of JMP and then run in JMP® 16.1 and later releases might result in the following log message:

When you analyze a continuous column with JMP in the Distribution platform, you can use the Test Mean option to test the sample mean against a hypothesized mean. In the resulting report, you can then display a Power animation. The dialog that is generated is highly interactive. However, the Beta value does not update with the changes made to the test parameters. To correct this problem, exit out o...
In certain conditions, the Confidence Interval for One Proportion calculator, available in the JMP® Sample Data Index, gives incorrect confidence intervals. These conditions are when the Number of Successes (x) equals the Sample Size (n), and when the Number of Successes equals 0. The alpha level should be divided by 2 in these cases, so, to get the correct calculations, change the Confidence Leve...
In JMP® 15 on Mac OS, you might not be able to see table or label text when running Dark Mode or High Contrast Mode. The current workaround is to disable Dark Mode or High Contrast Mode. Alternatively, reverting the Colors selections in Styles of the Preferences menu back to Original might resolve the issue as well. If this solution does not resolve the issue, contact JMP Technical Support for add...
After running the Fit Life by X platform in JMP® 15 you may get a "JMP Alert: Data out of Range" pop-up on your screen when clicking certain points in the generated scatterplot. The error is occurring during Hoverlabel generation and will be fixed in a future maintenance release of JMP 15. Hoverlabels that do not produce an error may generate the wrong value. [Previously JMP Note 65477]
In JMP® software, the Fit Model platform allows you to define contrasts for the least squares means by selecting the option "LSMeans Contrast..." available with categorical effects. If you click the "New Column" button after the first contrast is defined, the first column of coefficients is displayed incorrectly and the 0's corresponding to the new column do not change according to the +/- buttons...
Hover label graphs can be displayed when the cursor is moved over a graph element in a graph produced with JMP® software. If you place a column in the "Group X", "Group Y", or "Page" role in the JMP Graph Builder platform and you opt to display a hover label graph then the hover label graph is misleading. In the situation described, the internal data filter Where() clauses completely ignore the gr...
Copying Graphs from JMP® Graph Builder using Right-Click > Edit > Copy Graph may omit data points in the pasted output. There are three workarounds for this issue. You can use Ctrl-C to copy the graph. Ctrl-J will copy the complete graph to a journal as well. You can raise the Fast Marker Threshold in Graph Preferences so that Fast Marker Node is used to copy the complete graph. However, the copy...

In JMP® software, if you use the Ternary Plot platform to display your data, the Crosshairs tool can be used to show the coordinates of specific points or areas of the plot. The coordinates shown are incorrect. As a possible circumvention, use the Magnifier tool to narrow in on the plot, then the Crosshairs tool becomes more accurate. [Previously JMP Note 64802]
When a study is blinded and has SUPPDM but no ADSL data set, refreshing the study metadata produces an error. As a workaround, create an ADSL data set with only a USUBJID column that is populated and copied from SDTM. Adding the study with this ADSL data set is successful. The issue is corrected in the JMP® Clinical 7.1.1 hotfix. [Previously JMP Note 65441]
In JMP® Clinical 7.1 AE Narratives, a prior therapy may be populated for a subject that does not have one. The values come from cases where the previous subject had prior therapies, but the current subject did not. This issue is addressed in the JMP® Clinical 7.1.1 hotfix. [Previously JMP Note 65440]
In JMP® Clinical 7.1, the AE Narrative results are incorrect if the Event Type selection is not set to "Treatment Emergent Events." When a user chooses the template "ByNarrativeCategoryDetails" or "ByNarrativeCategorySummary," the Event Type selection must be "Treatment Emergent Events" for the results to be correct. This issue is corrected in the JMP® Clinical 7.1.1 hotfix. [Previously JMP Note ...
