Regular business hours will resume at 9:00 a.m. EST on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.
We’re retiring the File Exchange at the end of this year. The JMP Marketplace is now your destination for add-ins and extensions.
Yes with JMP 11 or later. JMP 11 can be installed on a computer with a previous version of JMP. The installation of JMP 11 does not remove the previous version and both versions are operable.

What inspired this wish list request? Managing jmp licenses can be tedious if we have a lot of licenses and employees resign or arrive. Corporate user management systems (like Active Directory or other SSOs) always need to be up to date, so if we can have an API to add or remove users on my.jmp.com, that would be very useful.
What is the improvement you would like to see? All actions that we can do manually in the my.jmp.com console should be possible with API and be documented.
Why is this idea important? Manage jmp automatically and not manually.

It would be great if in future you could enable SSO and SCIM provisioning via IDP (e.g. Entra).
Linking licensing and authentication to a security group would be efficient and time saving.
At present, users logging in with username and password poses a minor concern when offboarding employees, as we would have to check JMP each time to ensure the leaver doesn't have a license.

What inspired this wish list request?
Currently, managing JMP licenses during renewal cycles is challenging due to the lack of clear visibility on active license utilization. There is no straightforward way to track which users actively use their licenses and when they last accessed the application. This results in inefficient license cleanup, potential overspending, and difficulty in reallocating unused licenses.
Additionally, the process to resend welcome emails is cumbersome. If a user needs to receive the invitation again, the only workaround is to remove and re-add them, which is time-consuming and error-prone.
Finally, user role management lacks flexibility. As a JMP admin, I cannot directly update a user's role to grant admin privileges; I must contact JMP support. This delay affects timely user management and operational efficiency.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
Active License Utilization Metric: A dashboard or metric on the JMP portal that displays each user’s license status—active/inactive—and shows the last time they used the application. This data will allow admins to identify inactive users and clean up licenses before renewal, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Resend Invitation Email Option: An option to resend the welcome or invitation email directly from the portal without needing to remove and re-add the user. This simple feature would streamline communication and onboarding.
User Role Management Flexibility: A feature allowing JMP admins to update user roles within the portal, including promoting users to admin status or adjusting permissions as needed, without requiring intervention from JMP support.
If possible, mock-ups or wireframes showing a simple UI with these features integrated into the existing portal would help visualize the improvement. For example, a user list with columns for ‘Last Active Date’ and buttons for ‘Resend Invitation’ and ‘Edit Roles’.
Why is this idea important?
Implementing these improvements would significantly enhance the ease of managing JMP licenses and users. It would:
Optimize license renewal costs by identifying unused licenses efficiently.
Reduce administrative overhead and delays related to user onboarding and role management.
Empower JMP admins with greater control and flexibility, improving operational agility.
Overall, these enhancements would save time, reduce friction, and improve the overall JMP user management experience—making it a must-have for organizations managing multiple licenses.

This guide uses JMP to refer to JMP, JMP Pro, JMP Live, and JMP Clinical.
Beginning with JMP 18, users must be authorized to use the software. Administrators manage the list of authorized users by using the user's email address. The management is done in My JMP.
Sign in to My JMP.
Click Manage Software.
Locate the JMP product in My Software, then click Manage.
You can manage software authorizations for users. A list of currently authorized users, the number of authorizations allowed, and the number of authorizations available are shown.
Authorizing Users
To add authorized users, click Authorize Additional Users.
There are two methods to authorize user email addresses, manually input or upload a CSV file.
Manual Input
Select Manually input authorizations.
Enter the email address(s) of each user in the Email(s) to Authorize field, separated by a comma.
Click Next.
Upload a CSV File
Select Upload multiple authorizations via CSV.
(Optional) Click Sample CSV File to download a sample.
Create and save your own CSV file.
Click Upload Files.
Click Next after the file is uploaded.
Both methods will send a welcome email to each user's email address notifying the user they have been authorized to use JMP.
Deauthorizing Users
To deauthorize a user(s)
