Confirming that residuals have a normal distribution involves several steps but is fundamental to evaluating the fit.     What is the improvement you would like to see? This is extremely bad practice! To change a plot, a user has to change the global settings. This also affects all other plots. This has been inspired by researching an undocumented error message for the Open-Command where we have invested much time to search for the cause of the error which could have been prevented if the error message was meaningful and documented e.g. in the scrioting index.   In fact we got the error "Cannot open table at row <n>" several times but not reproducible while opening CSV files using the Open-Command. After a long research we have seen that the sometime file copy actions of huge files via the network take a long time and in case of an unstable network get abandoned after a timeout. This means a part of the file content could be transferred but the other part not and will be filled up with Null values.    I would like to see an improvement in these unmeaning error messages by: - transferring them to meaningful messages "Cannot open table at row <n>" => e.g. "File is corrupted and cannot be read at line <n>" - document it at least in the scripting index by giving examples in code - make the text of the error message language independent in English - returning language-independent error numbers like in the Windows-world e.g.    - a function exception_code() which returns an array of a error number and a language-independent error as a string { 93, "File not found"} or similar. What inspired this wish list request? The result the LCA platform changes every time you run it because you cannot set a random seed. When sharing the results with business stakeholders this problematic because the reported result differs from the demonstrated result. Having to explain why to the results differ adds complexity to what can already be a difficult conversation.   What is the improvement you would like to see? Add the ability to set a random sed to the LCA platform.   Why is this idea important? No need to explain why the reported results differ from the demonstrated results to business stakeholders. I'm working behind company firewall and I had trouble installing packages through Python Install packages().   I have by-passed the issue using jmp.utils package, as suggested in JMP 18 Help.  I have edited the jpip.bat file manually modifying the pip command like this:   "C:\Program Files\JMP\JMPPRO\18\jmp_python.exe" -m pip %* --proxy http://myproxy:myport I think this suggestion could be included in the help quite easily.   As an even better solution, I would suggest to add a "proxy" argument to the Python Install Packages() function.   Matteo         ... It's super useful. Thanks @Jeff_Perkinson ! What inspired this wish list request?  When sharing link to script to others, if I have script open, I then need to guess and check where the script was saved to.   What is the improvement you would like to see?  I would like to see similar functionality for hovering over scripts in JMP Home Window's "Recent Files" section in the "Window List" section, specifically adding the filePath.   Why is this idea important?  This will help prevent confusion if working on similar named scripts from different folders.   ... What inspired this wish list request?  I have been working on predictive models where I have my data set split in to defined inputs and a validation split, but I have up to 9 response parameters I am trying to model. I noticed if I make a PLSR model I can add all the response parameters to the response box in the gui and the software will make 9 independent models (one for each response parameter) summarized together in the results. But when using an algorithm like a NNET I can either model each response parameter one at a time, or if I had them all to the response box in the gui instead of JMP speeding up the process and training a NNET for each parameter, it trains a single combined NNET model to try and predict each output. It simply is not clear when the software is making independent models or fusion model.   What is the improvement you would like to see?  I think there are two additions that user would find helpful.  Updating instructions in the how tos It would be good to have it clarified in the help/how to section how JMP treats modelling multiple response. Adding a radial option in model gui for the applicable algorithms. I think the easies option would be to include a radial option on the amenable algorithms (NNET and Tree-based etc.) that would let the user select if they want all the response parameters to be modelled collectively vs. independently.       I think there was an option similar to this for how jmp handles multiple response parameters back in JMP 13 (maybe still included in JMP 15) but its an option that seem to have been removed.       Why is this idea important?  I think this idea is important for two reasons.  First is simple clarification. It wasn't immediately evident how some of the algorithms like NNET treat multiple response parameters in JMP and I think users would benefit from a more straightforward description of how modelling multiple responses in JMP works so they know the software is doing what is expected.  Additionally I think this option, just gives users more flexibility in how they use JMP efficiently and would allow them to maximize the value they gain from JMP. What inspired this wish list request?  Script Editor is the best tool to find most of the related commands/messages/functions of an object and Script Editor has also shortcut which makes opening Scripting Index much faster (ctrl+double click). Only issue with this is, that it always seems to perform the search on All Functions level AND it won't be able to update the categories.   What is the improvement you would like to see?  I would like to be able to easily get the scripting index categories updated when I ctrl+double click on script editor. We have simple script Data Table() and I wish to know what I could do with data tables. So I hold ctrl and double click on the data table. Now if I click on the Data Table I would like to get the category updated (or even better, it should be updated automatically based on first match?), but it stays All Functions. So what I always have to do, is to write Data Table to Filter Click again on the exactly same message Data Table and then it will update Category (not exactly sure why it is Row instead of Data Table but it is still better than All Categories). Now I can select the Row() category (or just clear the search) and I will get nice clean list of different operations related to the category   Why is this idea important?  Makes using Script Editor in combination of Scripting Index more enjoyable and removes a lot of unnecessary hassle.     ... What inspired this wish list request? When plotting bar charts, the default error bar colour for JMP is the same (or a slightly darker) shade of the bar colour. This makes it difficult to read. Currently the only option is to do this via Customize > Set the error bar colour using the RGB (1).  See: https://community.jmp.com/t5/Discussions/Default-Error-Bar-Color/m-p/772570#M95298     What is the improvement you would like to see?  A default item under Platforms to set a default colour of error bar.   Why is this idea important?  I don't believe this change is particularly easy to script (I may be wrong). Specifically, place test data in c\temp, run scripts Source14a and Source14b in JMP14 and JMP18, and compare. Unlike JMP14, in JMP18, when importing data that contains a mixture of YYYY/MM/DD type and YYYY/MM/DD H/MM/SS type in one column, some of the data will be converted to null data.   改善してほしいことは何ですか?   Revert the data import method to the same as JMP14, or add an option to revert to the same as JMP14.   Data that contains a mixture of YYYY/MM/DD type and YYYY/MM/DD H/MM/SS type often occurs in manufacturing sites. If this data becomes null, analysis cannot be performed, so it is important to be able to read it without generating nulls like in JMP14.     この考え方がなぜ重要なのでしょうか?   Customer support also suggested using the Source14aREV script, but it is difficult to change to the proposed script for two reasons. 1) There are already hundreds of scripts running, and it is difficult to change all of them without making mistakes. 2) Even when creating a new script, Source14a format scripts are easily created when opening a file in JMP14. It is very time-consuming for users to convert all date and time data columns in the read data to Source14aREV format (for example, one file contains more than 1,000 rows of date and time data columns).   Therefore, it is very important for the manufacturing industry to improve data reading as a function of JMP, rather than modifying the script.   Apart from this defect, JMP18 is a stable and excellent product. What inspired this wish list request? We encountered an issue when trying to open Excel files that have been encrypted and labeled using Microsoft Purview Sensitivity Labels in JMP 18. This problem prevents us from accessing important data due to the encryption applied to these files. What is the improvement you would like to see? We would like to see the ability to open encrypted Excel files (encrypted with AES256-CBC and labeled with Microsoft Purview Sensitivity Labels) reintroduced in JMP. This would enable us to work with our encrypted datasets seamlessly within JMP. Why is this idea important? This feature is crucial for our workflow as we frequently work with encrypted and labeled files for security and compliance reasons. Without the ability to open these files, our data analysis process is significantly hindered, impacting our productivity and the effectiveness of our work. What inspired this wish list request?  When adding text to a display output or to a Graph Box() it is fairly easy to find the starting point on the graph where a text value is to be placed, however the Text() function only currently allows for Center Justify or Right Justify.  Currently, the positioning of text on the left edge of the display frame requires one to calculate the length of the text in characters and then to do some sort of estimating of how that length in characters relates to the X scaling of the graph     What is the improvement you would like to see?  Allow: Names Default To Here( 1 ); New Window( "Example", Graph Box( Text Color( "red" ); Text( Left Justified, {50, 20}, "Left" ); ) );   Why is this idea important?  This would make adding text to output much cleaner to implement.   ... What inspired this wish list request?  Trying to make slight modifications to my existing models when I just have formula columns seems to take quite a bit of effort unless I have the script every time saved.   What is the improvement you would like to see?  In most simple case I would be happy to just have a way of getting all the column names used in a formula on clipboard (also make this scriptable without clipboard...). There might be other wish list item for this item but I could quickly find one. There are solutions in the community for this but they are fairly complicated Head Arg Recurse Formula , How to automatically extract the column name used by the formula in the JSL code? .   In best case I would like to be able to re-launch the platform which did create my prediction columns. As I'm JMP Pro user, I would be fine having this as a feature in Formula Depot. In this case it would be nice if different settings would be also pre-filled IF they are stored to the column properties.   Why is this idea important?  Makes it easier to go from prediction formula back to the launcher (when possible) to make small modifications if needed or just to rerun the model with same settings without having to save the platform script every time.   ... What inspired this wish list request?  Trying to combine Box plot / Bar Chart / Grouped point plot with Line plot in separate graphs.   What is the improvement you would like to see?  Now that we have capability to add lines with Caption Box, maybe we could also add plots with it? Few plots I would be interested in using are the same we can utilize in Graph Builders header graphs, especially Run Chart.
