What inspired this wish list request?
In JMP there are hundreds of settings which can be controlled via the preferences - AND in addition one can use the GUI or JSL to change the setting for a specific report.
- axis size
- Local Data filter: Conditional
- all the Platform Preferences
- ...
But there are some settings which can only be controlled via the preferences.
This is extremely bad practice!
To change a plot, a user has to change the global settings.
This also affects all other plots.
And if the user forgets to set the settings back to the original format, the next day he will face a nightmare ... till he remembers.
What is the improvement you would like to see?
Please scan the preferences add check where it makes sense to add a GUI and JSL on-time control.

Why is this idea important?
If such a setting is missing - is't extremely frustrating for the user.
