overlaid histograms on Y Residual by Y Predicted plot for Fit Model Effect Summary

What inspired this wish list request? Confirming that residuals have a normal distribution involves several steps but is fundamental to evaluating the fit.

 

 

What is the improvement you would like to see? Overlaid histograms on the LHS of the chart would save a lot of time by providing an immediate view of the normality of the data.

 

 

Why is this idea important? It would save some time and remind users to check for normality.

There is an option to produce a residuals normal quantile plot in the red triangle menu under "Row Diagnostics". However, this does require the user to actively seek out this option unless they have it turned on in platform preferences. A histogram produced next to the Residuals by Predicted or the Actual vs. Predicted plot is an interesting idea. Thank you for submitting this request.
