JMP Education courses in the US are now offered directly from JMP!
In this month's post on SEM, we take a look into path diagrams, their major components and how to construct a path diagram in JMP Pro. This month's post also includes a video tutorial on the construction of a basic path diagram.
Introduction to some underlying principles of SEM with the main focus being on dimensional reduction techniques. These ideas are explored, along with how and why we apply these in SEM with the aid of a case study as an example.
I’m proposing that it’s possible to locate curvilinear ($10 word!) behavior in a designed experiment simply by using the lowly t-test.
How much better is the CUSUM chart than the Shewhart charts at detecting small shifts?
Joining data sets together is straightforward when you have a unique identifier (like Batch ID, Lot ID, UPC, etc.) in each of the data sets to use as the matching criterion. But what do you do when you do not have this luxury? This is a common situation when working with data from sensors. Data from sensors is streaming, and you need to use the timestamp data from the sensors to combine data. Than...
How do you publish reports automatically on a routine schedule without having to manually click “Run?” Easy.
This white paper explores two popular software packages – Minitab and JMP. Differences between the two will be illustrated with the goal of easing the transition for experienced Minitab users to move over to JMP. Focus is on the user interface, how tools are accessed, how analyses are performed, and the general workflow that a user follows to analyze data. Minitab Version 19 and JMP 16 and JMP Pro...
JMP 15 brings the biggest enhancement to Interactive HTML Profilers in a while. We implemented new JSL methods in JavaScript that will enable more Profilers to come out interactive than ever before. In addition, four new embedded profilers were enabled, more than any other release as we strive to bring as much interactivity to JMP Live as possible with JMP 15.
Beginning in JMP 16, JMP will cease to promote the Name() parser directive commonly used to reference variable names that break typical syntax rules for Names in JMP. Instead, JMP will advocate for the use of a new syntax form with the name quoted as a string and followed by the character “n”.
A quick tour of some new features in the Column Switcher for JMP 16.
The JMP log has received a major upgrade in JMP 16.
My really fun project and collection of exciting tricks are embodied in the structural equation modeling platform in JMP Pro. I’ve written before about the unique advantages of fitting SEMs in JMP Pro 15, but with the release of JMP Pro 16, there’s a lot more to celebrate.
A quick tour of many of the enhancements to Graph Builder in JMP 16.
We have successfully designed a conference that is different from every other virtual conference.
If you’re an SEM user, we both know the countless hours you’ve spent drawing and editing path diagrams so you can convey your results to your audiences. If you’re not a current SEM user, then you can avoid the pain of using secondary software to draw those diagrams just right. Factors that predict the taste of candy expressed as a system of structural equations and as a path diagram.
It's easier to use covariates in JMP 16.
This guide explains how SPSS and JMP differ in the handling of descriptive statistics and visualizations and is meant to help ease the transition from SPSS Version 27 to JMP 16 and JMP Pro 16.
Hover Labels can support drilling and further exploration of visualizations with just a few clicks (no JSL knowledge required!).
A how-to on customizing graphs in JMP. The first of two posts on creating high-quality graphics for publications and presentations.
