  • JSL obtaining access to excel file in sharepoint

I am looking to run a script routinely from an excel file we keep in sharepoint. I have not been able to find much but due to the tight control of our IT department I cannot write anything other than JSL. I am able to run the attached script after I have accessed this file using the graphical "open file" window in JMP.  I think this works because sharepoint now knows that JMP is authorized to acce...

  • Calculating 95% Confidence Intervals for a Standard Beta

Hi everyone, I am doing an analysis where I need to report Standard Betas and their 95% confidence intervals. When I run a regression model, JMP will give me the Standard Beta itself, but the confidence intervals listed next to it refer to the estimate and not the beta itself. I understand that I can get the CIs by creating a new standardised variable first and then running the analyses with this ...

  • Removing embedded spec limits from columns

Hi, I have jmp data coming from ATE and the columns have embedded spec limits, which sometimes make the data analysis difficult (limits are wide, so outliers are hiding etc)...I can remove the embedded limits one by one by going to column properties, but i am looking for a way to remove limits from multiple columns at the same time.. please suggest a way... thanks.

  • For loop Graph builder with reference line

Hi, I want to write a script with for loop to generate Box plots with horizontal refernce lines and save it. I can do it in graph builder also but my dataset is huge so adding refernce line manually would take too much tim.I have to two data table one to generate data table and other to generate refernce lines. I want to have a loop to Box plot Player (in this case 'a' and 'b) on X-axis and column...

  • partial least squares for binary response, PLS-DA

I'm using JMP Pro PLS, but my response is binary.  I've seen an approach, PLS-DA that does the math in a different way recognizing that the predictors and the responses are not of the same type and so the notion of covariance between them is different than if they were both numeric.  I have only skimmed the literature before taking a deeper dive.  I thought JMP would use an approach specifically d...

  • Evaluating Dif Function by Column

I'm trying to evaluate the difference between two rows using the "Dif" function; however, the evaluation is continuous and has no regard for other columns. For example, with the "Big Class" DT I run the script below, but it will still compute the weight difference between a male and female. Is there any way around this? dt = Current Data Table(); dt << Sort( By( :age, :sex ), Order( Ascending, As...

  • Help me make sense of the significance in Chi-Square Analyses results

Hey all,Here I have run the presense of a car passenger (1 = front seat, 2=back seat) against casualty severity (1 = fatal, 2 = serious, 3 = slight). I am having trouble understand the results. I understand that the expected count and the actual count is what I'm interested in, but how do I detect whether the difference between those two counts is significant. Thanks in advance!

  • Viewing "Weighted N"

Hello,First of all, I should say that I am an Engineer with a very basic knowledge in statistics (perhaps thats why I am using JMP :) I have a data table with 90,000 rows and 12 columns. One of the columns has a pre-selected role as "Weight". The dataset I have has been sampled from a series of events with each event having its own "Weight". In our literature, it is common to publish Tables with "...

  • DOE - ELISA method - 4 PL modeling

Dear JMP Community, My question is about a DOE performed on ELISA method. The response is the Absorbance and there are 3 factors which are dilution of different reagents (standard, parameter B and parameter C) - Refer to graph attached to visualize the type of data I have.I’m looking for optimizing the three factors to get a plateau equal to 2 for absorbance. But I would like also to be at “the beg...

  • I want to use LASSO and Group LASSO in JMP

I'm involved in a project where we are applying lasso to build a logistic regression model from a "black box" set of predictors.  I need to get JMP Pro before trying out JMP's implementation.  I'm doing all the analysis in R at present.  Does JMP Pro also include group lasso?  I've found through using JMP Cluster Variables (CLUSVAR) that I can naturally group my predictors prior to group lasso.  F...

  • how to change the type and color of lines in graph

I am trying to show line of fit in graph builder for several sets of data. The data table have many columns, I want to show the column(i) vs column(1).Every column can  be grouped by A1 & a, also can  be grouped by B1 & b, but except column(1). The follow is the chart about column(2) vs column(1):  I use the follow script to change the type of lines:Dispatch( {}, "400", ScaleBox, {Legend Model( 8,...

  • Mean separation letter from test slices

    Hello!

How do I get the mean separation letter in for each level of a factor when interaction is significant? For example, if I have A*B interaction and I want to get the mean separation of B at each level of A, how do I get the LSD letters in JMP? I can do test slices and that will use the DF of the full analysis, but this does not shows which mean of B differs. If I do multiple comparison: How ca...

  • repeated-measures ANCOVA: How to perform the analysis when the parallel slope assumpt. doesn't meet?

Hi all,I need to perform the ANCOVA for a repeated-measures design. I tried to adapt the Julian's ANCOVA procedure showed on the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mApbp1RDy-U to my study case (repeated-measures design). Initially, I did the following actions: 1. In the Fit Y by X dialogue: I selected VAR_Y as "Y, Response" and VAR_X as "X, Factor";2. For "Group by" I selected the variable Timepoint;...
