Hi! all, I would like to find and replace data which contain certain value range in specific column by using jmp scriptHowever, the code didn't take effect Here is my code that want to loop through the data in "mark" column and look for value that more than 1000 and substitute with 99Names Default To Here( 1 ); dt = Data Table( "studentmark" ); headerList = dt << get column names( string ); For(...

  • Creating I-optimal designs for a full cubic model

I am trying to generate an I-optimal design for a 3-factor experiment where the underlying model is assumed to be a full cubic response surface design (not a mixture experiment). Is there a way to create this design with Custom Design (or any other tool in the DOE suite)?

  • why are no star points in custom design RSM

Hi JMP experts, we internally discussed a lot, why there are no star points in the RSM design, which the custom designer computes. What is the reason for that and is the classical design in this case better, than custom designer? Thanks for help here.

  • Replicating DOE analysis from a paper

Hey guys, very very new to the JMP/DOE/stat world and I have some questions. I'd like to replicate ANOVA and RSM analysis I've found in a journal. What I know:
    CCD design
20 treatments including 5 center points
    3 factors and 3 responses
Table of factors and their responses is attached. What I learned from the table:- rotatable CCD (value of 1.682)
    - it's actually 6 center points, not 5 (am I correct w...

  • Fit Definitive Screening vs. Stepwise (min. AICC) for model selection

I am trying to fit a model to a 17-run DSD with 4 factors. I am evaluating two methods of doing so: the 'Fit Definitive Screening' platform that is recommended by JMP documentation, as well as the older forward selection method with minimum AICC as the criterion. Based on domain knowledge, I would have expected a quadratic effect for factor B which looks like a plateau, with the low level being si...

  • DOE for Nested Factors

Hello!  I'm designing an experiment with 5 factors.  Factor X1 is Ingredient Type, a two-level categorical variable (Ingredient A or Ingredient B).  But we also want to investigate the concentration of both ingredients.  Ingredient A has a range of 5% to 20%, while Ingredient B has a range of 1% to 10%.  I can't include this as three independent factors.  I see two reasonable options:- Run two seq...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
