  • How to store data in a list?

    Hi everyone, I face a problem on how to store the subset data table into a list, below is my code : dt = Open (<path of file>); p= {"G_40", "F_45", "E_57", "F_85", "H_90"}; For( i = 1, i <= N Items( p ), i++, dt << Select Where(Starts With( dt:ftf, p[i] ) ) ; tempDT = dt << Subset( output table name( "Subset" ), selected rows( 1 ), selected columns( 0 ), "invisible"); ); I plan to store tempD...

  • JMP12 Add-In Folder Moved (Local=>Roaming)

    As I'm migrating some of my JSL scripts from JMP11 to JMP12, they are Add-In's, I've noticed they would not work.  The root cause is that JMP12 is now using the \Roaming folder, where as JMP11 and before used the \Local folder.  Does anyone know why JMP12 Add-In's are now using the Roaming folder?  Same Windows 8 in each case, same PC: JMP11: C:\Users\<myname>\AppData\Local\SAS\JMP\AddInsJMP12: C:...

  • Calculate Moving Average Using Last 3 Time Periods

    I have a set of data with three columns; Customer, TimePeriod, and Quantity. TimePeriod is in the format of yyyymm. I'm trying to determine a formula to calculate a "rolling average" over the last 3 time periods, across all customers.   For example, In my row labeled 201704, I want a formula to return the average Quantity for all records from 201703, 201702, and 201701. The TimePeriod can occur mu...

  • Save Analysis to Table Using Variable (in JSL)

    All,     Trying to figure out how to save an analyses to a data table using a variable . I tried multiple options :

    1. Option 1 : Adding Col List to table as a variable   dt = Open("$SAMPLE_DATA/Big Class.jmp"); myvar = dt << Get column Names("String"); dt << Set Table Variable("ColNames", myvar); dt << New Script("Save Analyses Using Variable", Bivariate(myvar[2],myvar[4],Fit Line) );

  • Calculating Sample Size for survival analysis

    Hi, I'm trying to calculate a sample size for survival analysis in Oncology. If I assume a constant hazard ratio and I have an estimate of overall survival (OS) and if I'm assuming that I need, say 80% power, how do I calcualate sample size in SAS JMP?    Any ideas?   Thanks, Rakhi

  • PCA - how to find component scores (X,Y coordinates) for each point on plot?

    I'm using JMP 13.0, on a Mac to run Princple Component Analysis (PCA) on environmental data.   It's working fine, however I can't seem to find any option to display the X,Y coordinates (PCA scores) for each point on the plot. My plot contains ~50 data points, from several different treatment groups. I'm hoping to calculate a mean value and standard deviation, for PC1 and PC2, for each treatment gr...

  • Refresh axis for Graph Builder

    Hi, Is there a way to refresh a graph builder axis using jsl?  The last line in my code (...<max()<<min();// ) is resulting in multiple values on an axis, see vertical axis in attached picture.   I use the setwidth(0) on distribution for cases where I end up needing to reset the axis width based on number of digits. setwidth(0) sets it automatically. i'm not sure how much it helps on graph builder...

  • How do I reference data from column A to column B? (I honestly can't find the answer)

    Hi there, I know this is probably very easy for most but I've been searching through the JMP discussion pages, and also google searches just to simply do the following.  I want all the data in my "Age" column to be "referenced" or the same, as another column called AgeGroups since in this column I have made age ranges for the data values (16 to 24, 25-30 etc..). I've seen plenty of similar discuss...

I don't understand why this one is the best by consedering the different values ?. What is the signification of these values ? Thanks,

  • Understanding the Dispatch and Legend Model and what exactly is Base(0,0,0)?

    My problem is two fold. Im writing a JSL Function to create some custom charts at work. Everything is working fine. Thats great. But I dont understand why - and I am trying to break down the code. Most of I wrote myself, but some aspects I made the tweaks within JMP, copied the scripts and used the parts that generated what I needed. Some of the code chunks that get added in are intuitive to read ...

  • Data Binding Associative Arrays

    I recently had need to create some slightly complex data structures and started to play with associative arrays a little more.  These are similar to dictionaries in other languages.  Where they differ is that most languages to improve speed, when assigning an object in a dictionary to a variable it does a data binding.  Essentially it makes it so both the dictionary and the variable refer to the s...

  • How to Maintain JMP Graphs Table Layout When Copy and Pasting into Word

    For years I've had to build sets of graphs using the Fit Y by X platform. The graphs are simple: X-axis is always (1) a character, nominal column and (2) a numeric, continuous date/time column. The Y-axis is always numeric, continuous data (bins, registers, parameters). The result is a list of box plot on the left, time trend on the right. There could be many plots at a time. In JMP 12 (and I thin...
