  • Box plots and points have different overlap settings

I saw this message that seems to be smililar to what I want: "move the specific points over their respective box plot", but I can't seem to grasp exactly what needs to be combined in 'tables > stack' to separate the points into their respective "series" as excel would call it and here is defined with overlay.   It is as if the box plots have a hidden 'series overlap' variable set to 0% (excel term...

  • Use first row as header row

Hi, I have just start using JMP Pro 11. Don't have any experience with JMP but a regular user for SAS. I do have data import question for JMP. I have JMP add-on in excel and using it to bring data into JMP. Once data come into JMP, I do transpose rows into column using "Transpose" option. However, I am unable to find how to convert first row into header row. Suggestions please. Thanks, Bhupinder

  • Formula that counts the number of rows a given distance away with a specific value

I'm trying to develop a column function that will count every row of my data table where 1) The :X and :Y coordinates are less than 2 Euclidean distance away
    &
    2) The :Value is = 5

In this 5 by 5 grid every :Value is set to 1, except for the central datapoint (3,3) which has :Value = 5. The datapoints in blue are <= 2 unites away from the central datapoint and thus get correctly count 1 datapoint in...

  • JSL Coding debug help needed

Hello, A while back, I got help from here on JMP coding to draw diamond plots (attached snapshot). I am using the same code. For some reason, the code run through without any flag but does not generate the plots. I am using JMP Pro 17.2.0. Can anyone please help me debug this? Much appreciated. I attached the dataset on which I am trying to use the script. Let me know if any additional questions. ...

  • allocate rows for specific test samples in a validation column

When using linear discrimination I want to determine groups for unknowns. I assume I can do this by making the unknowns a validation or test set but this seems to be allocated randomly. How do I specify specific rows as a validation/test set?

  • Prediction using JMP recurrence analysis

Hi all, I tried to predict future repairs and cost for our machines using JMP recurrence analysis, but I’m encountering overprediction issue. I trained a model (log linear NHPP) using lifetime data of the bots up to 90 days ago and then predicted currently added repairs and costs. Basically I use data 90 days ago for modeling and prediction, and valid the results using current data. The results sh...

My second question as one part of the AHP matrix is equal to 1 divided on the second part. How can I tell JMP that to screen only the half of missed value whic...

  • How to correctly compute Odds Ratios from a Binomial Logit Generalized Linear Mixed Model (GLMM) in JMP Pro?

I am fitting a Binomial Logit Generalized Linear Mixed Model (GLMM) in JMP Pro 18, with: binary outcome (1 = event, 0 = no event), several categorical predictors (factors), and a random intercept for subject ID to account for repeated measures / clustering. The model converges and produces a table of Fixed Effects Parameter Estimates, which includes: Estimate (β) Standard Error Lower / Uppe...
