Faint colors in Graph Builder plots - how do I increase brightness/contrast?
I have a consistent issue when using Graph Builder and setting a continuous variable in the color category. While the color bar is vibrant and clear, the colors that actually appear in the plot (either in Graph Builder or in the exported .tiff image) are significantly fainter. It makes it difficult to compare to the color bar and difficult to estimate the levels in the plot. I have checked and t...

weekly report with SQLquery tables
I have 3 SQLQuery tables generated. Few questions:To generate a weekly report, what’s the best way to store them, so next week once I have updated data, I can replace the data source once, and then the 3 query tables run automatically? Is it like journal, project, or dashboard? How to combine the scripts of the 3 query tables in order to run them all at once with updated data? I saw in each table t...

Incorrect output for cross-correlation in time series platform?
Hi JMP Community,(W10, 64-bit, JMP Pro 15.2.1) I'm hoping to find out either what I'm doing wrong, or what I misunderstand about how JMP performs the cross-correlation calculations in the Time Series platform. In short, when I compare the cross correlation of a Sin(x) with a Cos(x) function, I don't get an answer of pi/2 (or 90-degree) as I would expect, I get 79-degrees instead. I am trying t...

Value label not preserved in journal
I have a script that uses the bivariate platform to produce a plot of data over discrete time units (e.g. 202101 for 1st week of 2021). The time units used are not negotiable and do not space correctly if treated as continuous: the distance between 202052 and 202101 will not be the same as the distance between 202101 and 202102, but these distances should be the same as they are consecutive weeks....

Error bars for non-normal data
Hello JMP community, I wanted to hear what statisticians believe is the best way to depict error bars for skewed data?I have a non-normal distribution of measurements (mg of drug taken per a day across ~50 people across 3 days) and I have 3 groups of people. I'd like to make a line graph (not box plot) but I'm not sure what to put as the error bars. The main data points would be the median (not me...

Why are total effects sometimes more than 1 in variable importance?
Hello, I'm analyzing a DoE and had a look on the variable importance graphs. Surprisingly, the sum of the total effects of my parameters are greater than 1 sometimes (see picture below). I did not find anything in the documentation for this. Can someone explain, why the sum of the total effects can be greater than 1? Best, Christian

Combining Several JMP Reports (Graphs) via script?
Hello, I have 25 different graphs I've created via the Bivariate feature, and saved as independent .JRP files. I was wondering if there was a fast way to combine all of these reports into one file through scripting? Such as a dashboard for example, or another format (.PDF, .JRN, .JRP). I have tried to manually combine them into a dashboard, however JMP runs extremely slowly when I have more than ...

What does it mean when the solution path for Elastic Net is not single-valued?
Dear JMP Community, (W10, 64-bit, JMP Pro 15.2.1) I am running a model to assess the active predictors. I am doing this by using the Autovalidation add-in to generate a Null Factor for my data. I then use the GenReg platform to find estimates for each possible X-factor and then Bootstrap those estimates to get a better assessment of the contributions to the response. I came across a very stran...

Return number from specified row of calculation column in either a text edit box or number edit box in an add in
Hello, I'm attempting to build an application in application builder. I have two modules currently. The first module is a series of number edit boxes and lists that allow the user to input values and make selections. After pushing a button, the inputs and/or list selections update table variables in a data table that subsequently updates column equations. The data table opens in the background so ...

generalized regression
How do I get a whole model significance test when conducting a generalized regression using the negative binomial distribution? I can get the individual effect significance tests, but I do not see where I can get the whole model significance.

Comparing observed/predicted from different models. (Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) or Mean Absolute Error (MAE))?
I'm using the neural platform to calculate a model that makes predictions from some observed data and want to compare the performance of that model to other models (not from JMP). To compare the different models, I want to compare the observed data and the predictions from the different models. The R2 is not a good measure because it checks for any linear relationship between the observed and predi...
