  • Blocks and Center points for a definitive screening design

I began to create a definitive screening design with 7 factors and 3 response varianbles with JMP. I set "no blocks"!. Why is the number of blocks shown below equal to 2? I wanted to add only 2 centre point measurements. Is "Einzelversuche" equal to replicates? Why can I only add 4 additional measurements? I can only  set to zero "Einzelversuche" and number of blocks ("Anzahl Blöcke") cannot be ch...

  • Which algorithm to create a random order of runs?

Which algorithm is used in JMP to create a random order of runs on the basis of a Seed for randomisation? Can I change the used algorithm? I would like to reproduce exactly a given design to evaluate it by JMP.  Thanks. Sincerely Thommy7571

  • axial points are not tken into account for designs?

Hello,I wanted to add this question to my last post, but there is no button to edit it.Id I create adesign, do I not need into account that in a further optimisation design axial points might be necessary? If I use the real maximum values for the points |-1| and +1 snd later I want to realise a rotable CCD with a  (coded) axial point at |3.36| how will JMP handle this? Why does it not take this in...

  • Coding design versus numerical design

Hello, would you consider it more reasonable to create a numerical design directly? Or first a coded design?I first created a coded design (with .-1, 1 and 0).without randomisation.is it possible to transform it afterwards in a numerical design by substituting the level values? Is it possible to randomize it separately and to control the randomisation by a seed? Sincerely Thommy7571

  • How to reduce the number of runs in design?

Dear sir/madam, In JMP17 I have made a design starting from 8 2-level factors, of which 5 are hard-to-change. For the hard-to-change factors only main effects are considered, for the easy-to-change factors 2nd order interactions are also evaluated.Using Custom Design, 32 runs were generated, consisting of 8 whole plots. Now, every run represents an adhesive formulation I would like to test on a ser...

  • extend Definitive Screening Designs to  Face Centered central composite designs (FCCCD)

Hallo, can JMP extend Definitive Screening Designs to  Face Centered central composite designs (FCCCD) and evaluate them?It seems that FCCCD are the only designs which contain a considerable number of runs in common with definitive screening designs. Sincerely Thommy7571

How should I go ahead with my experiments (interpretation) when I know before hand that my response (continuous) will have a time delay. How do I incorporate time delay in interpreting the results of my experiments? Thanks,Ashish

  • How to extract the prediction interval in DOE

Hi members!I need to do some experiments to validate the model and I need to get all the prediction intervals from my answers. In the example below, only the confidence interval appears shaded, enclosed in blue brackets. How do I get the prediction interval instead of the confidence interval? Would it be possible to also select the confidence interval for the prediction profiler with all the respo...

  • Creating DOE (and fitting) for non-linear response

Hello, I am still new to JMP but I'm trying to determine the best way to model a non-linear system (generating DOE + model fitting). Context: Long story short, I have a large experimental space that I am trying to model (10 discrete variables + 10 continuous variables). Before I jump into my full experiment I'm working with a subset (1 discrete variable + 5 continuous variables) to make sure I'm m...

  • Robust vs. Non Robust Response Screening/ Categorical Outliers

Hello! I appreciate your help in advance!  I am currently trying to figure out the proper way to analyze my data!  I had used the DOE feature of JMP to create this fraction factorial of 24 runs for m experiment. The goal is two screen which categories have the most effect on the success rate. I had initially use the response screening option to analyze my results, when I did that none of my values...

  • Process development with multiple factors

Hi everyone, I'm currently engaged in a process development project with the goal of 1) minimizing the total process time while 2) maintaining or enhancing the yield. This objective is similar to viral vector production case, where maximizing virus yield in the shortest production time is crucial. After consulting with subject matter experts, we've pinpointed 10 factors for potential modification....

  • Do 3rd order effects help define curvature?

If you have are making a design with a factor you are certain will have a quadratic relationship against a response but you have a wide range, can it be helpful to define a 3rd order model effect for that factor to better identify and model curvature. I work in purification and we often deal with a recovery vs. purity balance. This relationship is usually quadratic around the optimal, where at a l...

  • Neural networks that learn and predict in real time (incremental learning)

Hello community!!A query:- How JMP is configured to generate neural networks that learn from their inputs in real time (incremental learning) in such a way that it continually updates its weights according to new inputs and generates updated real-time predictions.Greetings,Marco
