How to extract only values (number or text) from a data table?

Hello Everybody,

After returning certain values from a data table I want to display them in a text edit box. However, I am getting values together with brackets [ ] for numbers and {" "} for characters. How to extract only content without additional brackets (and quotation marks)? Best regards.

You need to read the Scripting Guide.  What you are getting back are JMP Lists {} and JMP Matrices [].  You can deal with them by using subscripting, as in an array.

If what you received back is

    myList = { "Red", "Green" };

you can refer to which ever value by the appropriate subscript

     myList[2]

would return

     "Green"

Of course, thank you. And yes, I will read the scripting guide. Best regards
