  • Recode using if and count functions

Hi, I am relatively new to JMP and I am struggling to combine different functions using recoding functions and I would appreciate your help. I have a date table with one column containing plate numbers. Each Plate ID has a repetitive set of Names T0X, T0Y and T0Z associated. Now I want to recode X, Y and Z into numbers, starting from X =1, Y = 2 and Z = 3, and going on in steps of three (X = 4, Y ...

  • Change color theme in plot legend of FIt Curve

I am doing a fit curve and would like to alter the color theme of the plot of grouped lines. I can't find syntax to be able to do this. I found some links to XPath work for doing something similar in graph builder ( {legend box ref }<< Categorical Color theme() ) but that doesn't seem to work in the fit curve report. Grabbing the XML, it wasn't clear if needing a different node was my issue...

  • Filtering Pareto charts by column.

I have a very large dataset of manufacturing defect bin data.My columns are the manufacturing batch IDs (called lots), and then each column is a defect bin, with the numeric value for that particular defect bin for each lot. In JMP Pareto chart, the input needs all defect bins in one column. So, I have to make another table by stacking those defect bins using Table>Stack. This makes an even larger...

  • Adding x number of days to a Character Date column (dd-Mon-YYYY)

I have a JSL script that periodically pulls data from an Access database.  The access database contains a date column "Available Date" with a dd-Mon-YYYY (E.g., 12-APR-2018) format. What I am trying to do, is create a new column "Target Date" in JMP that adds x number of days to the date in "Available Date" for each row. For example: In the image below, the Target date is equal to Available date +...

  • How to explore the baseline level effect on response size (i.e. CFB)? Is fit model the right tool in JMP?

Hi All, We have a test that compared the benefit (data reading, numerical data) of two different treatments over a couple of time points (baseline, T1, T2, etc). There are also some other effects: test sites, gender, etc.For primary objective, I used the "Fit model" and put the data reading as Y, treatment, baseline level, time point, gender, subject ID(random factor), some 2-factor interactions i...

  • Incorporating measurement error into Dunnetts analysis

I want to start incorporating my measurement error into my dunnetts analysis.  I have attached a file below which has two variables which I am trying to determine if they are different.  Both variables were tested 3 times and each test was measured 3 times.  Since I am trying to determine if the variables are different in the past I've always just averaged all 3 measurements and used as the value ...

  • How to save report as a text file via script?

Hi all, I have a script to run a logistics regression. I then want to save it as a text file, akin to doing a Ctrl+s with that report open, selecting "txt file" in "Save as type", then saving it. Is there a way to script this last saving part? I've tried Save(), SaveAs(), Save Text File() and none of them seem to work. I'm intending to then use a separate bash script to parse through that text fil...
