When selecting "Smooth Curve" in the Distribution platform JMP displays a fitted Kernel Density function along with a slider for varying the "Kernel Std".
Without luck, I have looked for any details on how JMP sets the default Kernel Std in the manuals. I have also experimented with ratios between StdDev (or SE) and default Kernel Std for datasets of different size in order to find any consistent ...
I just noticed that Graph Builder/BoxPlot has some problems with columns of modeling type Multiple Response.this gets apparent if non-multiple-response entries are used.
In plot 1, a male subset is showing up in the female group on the left.
This is not the case if color is used instead of Overlay (second plot).
The wrong female plot looks like the 3rd plot - where on the x axis no distinction is m...
Hi folks, I am using JMP scripts to import the data of 30 Excel files. When I run it, there will be 30 data tables opened during the "Open" action. So I have to manually close each of these 30 data tables, which is very tedious. Is there a way that I can read / import the data from Excel without opening the data table so that I do not need to close the data table one by one? Your comments / sugg...
HelloSome of the columns are locked, If I have any option to convert the columns to open one without doing once again a summary and removing the "link to the original data table"?

Hello, I have an add-in that can extract in a JMP table data from a server, a start date and an end date. I would like to know if it is possible within JMP to lock this resulting table so that only the person that generated the table with the add-in can modify the table. The goal is that when he shares it on a shared space with his colleagues, only him can modify it, for his colleagues it is read-...
I performed an ordinal logistical fit of my data then selected “Save > Save Expected Value” option from the red triangle menu, which adds a column of values in my data table labeled “Ord Expected”. I believe the added values are marginal predictions, that is estimated Ys given my Xs. First, is this true? If so, second, how can I get the confidence bounds about the expected Ys?
Hi. I tried to make a custom designed mixture experiment with only two different ingredients with varying procents, all other ingredients is helt constant. I tried to use the "mixture sum" option to sum up the two ingredient at the maximum range but it does not work. The last ingredient gets changed into the value stated in mixture sum but that is not what I am after. Any suggestions on what coul...
Dear potential saviors Recently I've had some inconsistencies in JMP depending on how I exactly tackle the problem. When I manually code the interaction of a numerical variable and a dummy variable (i.e. I multiply them), I do not get the same solution as when I just specify in the fit model box that I want to cross these effects. Moreover, when I did the same in R, I do not seem the same behavior...
I have found that hovering over a variable is very useful feature in JMP Script Window/Editor when debugging the script. I have been working with very long script which I have divided to smaller pieces by using Include-feature. I am able to pass variable content correctly between the included scripts but it looks like hovering do not work on included script windows (showing empty variable content ...
Dear community, For the probability profiler as used to analyse data in choice experiment analysis, I am wondering how to optimally set the baseline scenario to compare probability profiler data. Following for instance von Wedel & Hagist (2022), utilize the probability profiler to compare the baseline of the combination of attributes with the lowest marginal utilities. While such an analysis is ...
Hello everyone, passing by to say hello and to share that I created a YouTube Channel with JMP 17 Video Tutorials in english, spanish and portuguese. As an enthusiast about Problem Solving, passionated about JMP and a JMP Partner, I hope you'll come with me, subscribe to the channel and enjoy all the videos that are there and yet to come.https://www.youtube.com/@planaconsultoria Best regards!
If you're looking for some data wrangling puzzles, the Hanukkah of Data series of daily puzzles is underway at https://hanukkah.bluebird.sh/5783/. They're on day 2 of 8 now. As far as I can tell, you can do them whenever and there's no competitive part. I'm doing them in JMP, of course!
HI all,I have a question about an error I'm getting when using @stan_koprowski's slope and intercept add-in. I've posted my question on the add-in's thread but due to the much lower exposure compared to discussion posts, I thought that it might be a good idea to ask here as well. I made a mock data table with three groups and several observations in each group. When I run the add-in I am getting t...
