JSL equivalent for "select matching cells"
Is there a JSL equivalent for "select matching cells" in a given column? For example, I have many simulation runs represented in a single table. Sometimes I see a rogue data point in Graph Builder, and I want to see all the other points from that run, which is all points with the same "run id". Is there a way in JSL to select those points, then expand the selection to all rows with the same valu...

How to use jsl to download yahoo's U.S. stock quotes.
A browser allows can to browse and download stock quotes from yahoo's websites, and directly download data files in CSV format.
But directly copy the link of this file, and then use JMP download software to download the prompt to log in.
How do I download these stock data files in bulk with JSL?https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GE/history?period1=-252374400&period2=1583107200&interval=1d&filter=histo...lwx228

Specific Prediction Expression for Nonlinear Platform
I have nicely fit an exponential function to my data and want to get the literal prediction expression. However, the prediction expressions on the Specialized Modeling --> Nonlinear platform only seem to be in a generalized sense. How do I get the actual values, as I would in something like the Fit Y by X platform? I did use the Fit Y by X to get actual values for the equation and found that I...

How to enable HTML contol in Chrome?
Hello, I created a box plot report using column switcher to allow consumers of the data to choose which parameters to plot. However the control shows as disabled and nothing can be adjusted in the plot. Can you please help with the Chrome and/or JMP settings that are needed for these controls to work?

What is the best way to analyze the relationship between a binary and quantitative variable?
Hi, sorry if this is a really newb question but I'm working on a dataset for class on the relationship between depression and sleep. I have two variables, depression with a yes/no response, and average hours of sleep for each respondent (5,6,7,etc.). I analyzed the two for ANOVA and found their R-squared and the P value for the relationship, but is there a better test for this specific situation? ...

Converting percent loss to probits in JMP
I generated independent probit regressions for multiple populations to a toxicant using a binomial general linear model with a probit link function and log(dose) as the X. Now I wish to convert my Y to probit units. When I save formulae from the GLM output I get this formula for each population: Normal Distribution(Intercept+Slope*Log(dose)) Given that a probit is the inverse of the cumulative dis...

JMP 16 and JMP 16 Pro lagging table scrolling
When I scroll in the data table using the slide bar on the right hand side, the data table does not move at the same time. When I try to highlight cells in the data table with my mouse the cells do not highlight.I recently received a new laptop and installed the JMP on it this week. I did not have this problem with my old laptopPlease advise. Thank you

Variability Chart Platform Factor Re-Insert Positions (Not Swapping)
Hello JMP Community, I understand dragging between any two factors swaps the location pairs in the Variability Chart platform. Is there a way to drag to specifically re-insert the factors instead? For example, can I drag "Layout" between "Horizontal" and "Wafer ID" in the attached screenshot instead of performing multiple drags to have the intended result? I am aware I can do this reordering with ...

how can I use structural equation model to make predictions?
Hi, I built a structural equation model and it works well. I would like use the model to make some predictions. Basically, what I want to do is to change the value of a variable and then JMP can calculate the values of other variables. Is there any way i can output the model equation so that I can use it to predict? Thanks.

Get (x & y) intercept values from linear fit of the linear region of a curve/data and store them in a new column
I have JMP data table with data from several parts for which a Capacitance 'C' has been measured as a function of reverse voltage 'V' (0 to -5 V in -0.1V step). A plot of [1/C]^2 vs V has a linear part for small reverse bias (say from 0 V to -0.5V and data is available at 0, -0.1, -0.2, -03, -0.4 -0.5 V within this range). How to do a linear fit to the points between 0 to -5V for each part, extrac...

Debugger report for finding bottlenecks
I'm trying to find bottlenecks in a large script with many includes. I can run the debugger to profile the script but I'm wondering if there's a better way than just looking through each included script for the highest number. I'm imagining a pareto. Anyone know a good method to analyze script performance?
