JMP 16 and JMP 16 Pro lagging table scrolling

When I scroll in the data table using the slide bar on the right hand side, the data table does not move at the same time.

When I try to highlight cells in the data table with my mouse the cells do not highlight.

I recently received a new laptop and installed the JMP on it this week.  I did not have this problem with my old laptop

Please advise.  Thank you

Re: JMP 16 and JMP 16 Pro lagging table scrolling

This sounds like it might be related to a known issue with some newer laptops, see this JMP Note which JMP Support gave me along with the info below. If that doesn't solve it I recommend contacting JMP support for this one.

Please review that note for more information.  To resolve the issue, we recommend you navigate to File  Preferences  Windows Specific  Enable hardware accelerated graphics. Deselect the preference and then click Apply and restart JMP.

Re: JMP 16 and JMP 16 Pro lagging table scrolling

Thank you very much for this reply.

I've been working with my IT Help Desk and he also found part of this solution.  We performed this workaround recommendation:

"A workaround is to disable this preference. Navigate to File ► Preferences ► Windows Specific ► Enable hardware accelerated graphics. Deselect the preference and then click Apply and restart JMP."

The lagging did improve, but did not go away and is not the same as my old laptop.

I'll work with IT again tomorrow to see about the drivers.

Thanks again for helping.

I definitely recommend contacting JMP support as well as your local IT help desk.

Re: JMP 16 and JMP 16 Pro lagging table scrolling

Thanks.

I worked with my internal IT Help to update all of the drivers on my laptop, both Intel and Dell.  But the problem persists.

The only thing which seemed to improve it so I can use JMP is the (Navigate to File ► Preferences ► Windows Specific ► Enable hardware accelerated graphics. Deselect the preference and then click Apply and restart JMP.)

The lagging problem still exists, but at least JMP is usable for me right now.

I submitted an email to JMP Support.  So, hope we can get this resolved.
