How JMP determines resolution of fractorial designs
Hello dear All,I was trying to figure out how JMP associates the resolution to blocked factorial or fractional factorial designs. JMP presents the resolution under the label 'Resolution - what is estimable' of the Screening design platform.I will make two examples:1) for a design with resolution VII, like the 2 to 7-1, JMP reports 5+. What is the meaning of the +? Does it mean that the resolution ...

Fixed framebox size
Hi everyone, quite oftten we are using the graphbuilder to generate wafermaps. Usually we are showing many wafers side by side using the "wrap" function. Then we get something like this:In this case we are having 16 boxes, each one displaying a wafer. Ths size of the boxes is normally adjusted automatically. My question is, if there´s a way to set and fix the size of the boxes?Thank you very much!

Number Edit Box returned value
I have a Number Edit Box and when nothing is specified I want to assign a default value to my variable and also prompt a message. If nothing is specified (meaning user did not put anything on the number box) and I view my variable on the "watch" window on the debugger, it seems to have a value of "." but I could not get a match (see my script below):stepSize = 10;New Window( "", <<Modal, V Lis...

Is there a way to set up an SMTP interface on JMP or alternative?
Hi,I have a need to send 'Out of Control' Alarm notifications by e-mail to process owners within our organization.I am using JMP 12 on a 64-bit system and unfortunately have learned that I cannot use the MAIL function in JSL as our Outlook is the 32-bit version. Is there any way that I could configure SMTP so that I can bypass the mail client and contact the SMTP directly? These seems to be possible...

Comment faire ?Merci,JohanHello,I'm a new JMp user. I'd like to make a beautiful graph for a slide but I have a pro...

Co-Kriging with JMP and Matlab
Hi!I was wondering if anyone already tried to work with Co-Kriging, using JMP together with Matlab. As JMP only fits Ordinary Kriging Models (Gaussian Process with Gaussian Correlation Function), I would like to send data (generated with Space Filling JMP Platform) from JMP to Matlab, fit the models there (Matlab), and bring the MODELS back to JMP, to use inside Profile Platform. Do you have any e...

Interpreting canonical structure and scores in discriminant analysis
I'm trying to interpret the relative contributions of my variables in a discriminant function analysis of chemical data for three groups of rocks. In a stepwise, linear, common covariance discriminant function analysis I'm able to generate non-overlapping 95% confidence ellipses for my three groups with no incorrectly assigned data points using 6 variables. My understanding is that the scoring c...

Generalized Segmented Distributions
A former classmate of mine from Graduate School has recently published a paper on Generalized Segmented Distributions. Utilizing this method, the distribution can approach any continuous density function of arbitrary form. The method is particularly effective in fitting data with sufficient observations that are skewed and/or multimodal. The paper can be found here:The General Segmented Distrib...
