  • Parameter Constraints in Nonlinear Model Fitting

I am fitting a bi-exponential growth model of the following form:
I would like to constrain the parameter estimates so that dmax1< dmax2 and rate1<rate2.   Is there any way to do this in the Nonlinear platform?

  • allocate rows for specific test samples in a validation column

When using linear discrimination I want to determine groups for unknowns. I assume I can do this by making the unknowns a validation or test set but this seems to be allocated randomly. How do I specify specific rows as a validation/test set?

  • Prediction using JMP recurrence analysis

Hi all, I tried to predict future repairs and cost for our machines using JMP recurrence analysis, but I’m encountering overprediction issue. I trained a model (log linear NHPP) using lifetime data of the bots up to 90 days ago and then predicted currently added repairs and costs. Basically I use data 90 days ago for modeling and prediction, and valid the results using current data. The results sh...

  • How to Convert a Column to Date-Time Format (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS)?

How to correctly convert a column into date and time  elements? For example, in the following JSL, the original data is "20230507G10:11:59". How can I convert the data type into a numeric date format like "YYYY-MM-DD H:M:S", such as "2023-05-07 10:11:59"?

dt = New Table( "Untitled"); New Column( "Original setting" ); :Original setting << Data Type( Character ); :Original setting << Set Values( {"2...

  • how to calculate relative potency in parallel line model?

Hi, I fitted the parallel line model LogY=Sample+Log_Dose in fit curve.  The parallelism test and model parameters are fine. They are exactly same as what I got in R or PLA software.  But the relative potencies are totally different. Any place to find the technical details about its calculation? Thank you!

  • Calculating the missing values in AHP matrix

Calculating the missing values in AHP matrix I have an incomplete AHP matrix, and I want to define the missing data using JMP, which method of screening values do you advice me to use, normal imputation,  SVD imputation, or RPCA imputation. My second question as one part of the AHP matrix is equal to 1 divided on the second part. How can I tell JMP that to screen only the half of missed value whic...

  • How to correctly compute Odds Ratios from a Binomial Logit Generalized Linear Mixed Model (GLMM) in JMP Pro?

I am fitting a Binomial Logit Generalized Linear Mixed Model (GLMM) in JMP Pro 18, with: binary outcome (1 = event, 0 = no event), several categorical predictors (factors), and a random intercept for subject ID to account for repeated measures / clustering. The model converges and produces a table of Fixed Effects Parameter Estimates, which includes: Estimate (β) Standard Error Lower / Uppe...

  • Shape column : default markers?

Hi, while waiting for new Column Property: Value Markers , I tried to use a Shape Column in Graph builder for better/consistent marker control: Not bad ... but I need more details:  How can I specify one of the default markers? nice trick: empty entries are displayed with a "dot"
but: Marker Drawing Mode - Outlined doesn't work. why? View more... Names Default to Here(1); dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_D...
