  • How to do Bilinear Interpolation using JMP?

    Essentially it is called 2D multivariate interpolation. I have set of locations (x,y) and a corresponding data eg: z=color value. For some of the (x,y) the z column has data missing. I want to use the nearest two known ( x1,y1,z1) and (x2,y2,z2) to interpolate the value for (x3,y3, z3=?). Theoretically this wiki/Bilinear_interpolation is what I like to get. Does JMP has a way of doing this?  Also ...

  • define reference value of a nominal variable

    HelloI'm using JMP Pro 12 and would like to know how to define the reference value of a nominal variable.For example, in order to use this variable in a Cox model.Without any defined reference for the nominal variable, JMP provides HR for each comparison between 2 groups, whereas i would like to compare each other group to the reference group only.ThanksFlorent

  • How to delete a cell in jsl

    I wanted to import a txt file into JMP, but the text is not perfectly aligned. So I want to delete the empty cells. I tried many different ways, but it seems that JMP can only delete an entire column/row. Is there a way to get from the Input to the Output format? Thank you.  Input:NameColumn1Column2Column3Column4Column5Emma 38332083063031360Mary 38482634469445753Lisa3845961427554376643887David3832...

  • Trend Evaluation where X = Ordinal and Y = Continuous?

    Hi JMP Community,I would like to know if it is possible to evaluate(in JMP 13.1) trends in a data where X is ordinal (4 Groups) and Y is continuous (see attached file).Based on a visual inspection, it appears that the means of Measurements are progressively higher with each group but I have not been able to find a method to evaluate this formally. Thank you for your help. TS

    Hi, I have a problem with the script.
    I get an empty column when I try to use the loop.When I don't use a loop, it's works.col = dt << get column names; For(i = 1, i <= N Items(col), i++, c = "c" || Char(i); Eval(Parse(Eval Insert("^c^= column(dt,i)<<get values"))));
    New Column( "Flag",

    Formula(for(i=1,i<3,i++,
    if(c2[i]>:LSL[i],"Pass","Failed"))));

  • How to reference columns whose name begin with a number

    I am looking to use the select where function within JSL script.However, it wont let me reference my column as it begins with a letter i.e 20GHz_timeI want to do :20GHz_time <1000 however it won't let me. I cant reference based on what column number it is as the columns can change from data table to data table so I need a way to capture it. What is happening is the :20 is getting highlighted in gr...

To create table2 I use tabulate function and then make into data table function. If I use the data box and append feature again, the table2 is displayed on the right of table1.But I ne...

  • Can I have a different local data filter for each column using the column switcher?

    I am looking to use the column switcher, but each column needs a different local data filter. Is there a way to assign a specific local data filter to each column? I have attached a JMP file with the three separate graphs I want with their appropriate data filters, and would like to have one graph using the column swicher to cycle through each. (Column switcher for Temp, pH, and concentration.)

  • I want to use LASSO and Group LASSO in JMP

    I'm involved in a project where we are applying lasso to build a logistic regression model from a "black box" set of predictors.  I need to get JMP Pro before trying out JMP's implementation.  I'm doing all the analysis in R at present.  Does JMP Pro also include group lasso?  I've found through using JMP Cluster Variables (CLUSVAR) that I can naturally group my predictors prior to group lasso.  F...

  • Mean separation letter from test slices

    Hello!

    How do I get the mean separation letter in for each level of a factor when interaction is significant? For example, if I have A*B interaction and I want to get the mean separation of B at each level of A, how do I get the LSD letters in JMP? I can do test slices and that will use the DF of the full analysis, but this does not shows which mean of B differs. If I do multiple comparison: How ca...

  • repeated-measures ANCOVA: How to perform the analysis when the parallel slope assumpt. doesn't meet?

    Hi all,I need to perform the ANCOVA for a repeated-measures design. I tried to adapt the Julian's ANCOVA procedure showed on the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mApbp1RDy-U to my study case (repeated-measures design). Initially, I did the following actions: 1. In the Fit Y by X dialogue: I selected VAR_Y as "Y, Response" and VAR_X as "X, Factor";2. For "Group by" I selected the variable Timepoint;...
