  • Change Format of "Means and stdevs" on Histogram Plot

Hey guys,So I routinely display histograms on JMP and an option I love is "display means and stdevs" but sometimes the displayed format isnt the desired format. And I am not sure how to edit this format to display the numbers better. I want to show the Mean as 40e-15 not 4e-14. And STD as well in e-15 and add an extra significant digit. How can I edit these? Is it possible to chose a format.

  • How do I conduct an orthogonal polynomial analysis in JMP?

Hello,I would like to conduct an orthogonal polynomial analysis to check for response (linear/quadratic) of egg production to increasing doses of a product.Dosing is not equally spaced (0, 100, 300, 500, 1000 ppm). thanks for your help.

Hello everybody,   I´ve got two questions concerning a dashboard (see an image attached):   1. I built a dashboard and deleted the text next to he red triangle. The triangle also disappeared. How do I get it back?   2. How can I adjust the size of the containers of the panel boxes of a dashboard?   Thanks in advance.   Johannes

  • How could I do batch Wilcoxon Test in Fit Y by X?

Hi Brilliant JMP users, I have a data-set of same Y and X in comparison, with different methods, at time points and at different measurement position etc. Fit Y to X is used to analyse the data. In the analyse, I put the methods, time points and position in "by". Then I got >30 pair comparison that each all need to do wilcoxon test. I have to click the red triangle and select non-parametic->wilcox...

  • Control format and review of report output

I have multiple versions of JMPPro on my computer, including JMP 14.3 and JMP 16.0. I don't an option in any version for custom formatting in a report window. For example, suppose I use the bivariate (fit Y by X) platform with a "by" column, and there are 80 unique values in the "by" column. Including all plots in a single column or in a single row will slow down review of the plots. Performing a ...

  • How can I test if two fitted nonlinear curves are statistically different?

Hi, Can someone help me with this? I did experiments to determine a certain feature (Open Porosity) in 3 different directions, in 21 little volumes. So, I had 21 volumes and each volume yielded 3 values, i.e. 3 times an open porosity value.I've fitted non-linear curves through the data, and now I want to know if they are significantly different from each other. Is this possible to do this in JMP? He...

  • Can I control text size in a word cloud inside a dashboard container?

Hi all,I have a dashboard with a data filter, a map, and a word cloud that looks like image 1 below. I have two formatting issues with the word cloud I'd like to fix. First, by design, when I make different selections using the data filter, the subset of records that are shown in the map changes and the word cloud applies only to that selection. However, when I change the data filter selection, th...

  • Fantasy Baseball League

I am in a 16 team fantasy baseball league. Each week we tabulate totals for home runs, batting average, stolen bases, wins, saves, era, etc. If my team has the most home runs, I win that category for the week. We track 10 statistics so after each week I may have a final score of 6-3-1. My question is how can I use JMP to check what my score would have been if I had played each of the other 14 team...

  • Generation of overdispersed poisson count data (vs gamma poisson)

Hello, I would like to reconcile the parametrization used in the Random Gamma Poisson(lambda, sigma)with the over-dispersion parameter as estimated in generalized linear model platform. Take for instance the attached table. Here the generating function is  Random Gamma Poisson(exp(1+3*:X1),10)Running glm with poisson/log + overdispersion I obtain: Overdispersion = 6.09.    Is there any way to link...

  • JSL Syntax Change is coming: Name() is being deprecated

Hi All,   I just read here that the JSL syntax for referencing a column using the Name() parser is going away. The new syntax is currently in use and at some point the old syntax will be removed entirely. There's a lot of people here who script, so thought it would be good to post something here.   I know I have a lot of code I'll need to change! Better to be ahead of the curve and change it befor...
