  • What accounts for most of my error?

I'm trying to find where the error is coming from in my experiments.  But I have multiple points where errors can occur.  Is there a way to determine which part of my experiment is responsible for the most error?  I have attached an example which has three sources of error:  Experiment, sample and measurement.  All of these contribute to the differences in the value I receive.  I'm hoping for an e...

  • Scripting For loop to multiply values across row

Hi, I am fairly new to scripting in JMP and have looked through many jmp forums for solutions but haven't been successful in modifying the solutions for my particular problem. I have a script that produces a table of unknown number of columns and want to multiply each value in the row (there is only one row in the table generated) across the columns produced (column 1 * column 2 * column 3* etc). ...

  • Remove "where(...)" text in report

When you do something like a bivariate, and you use the Where() command, the JMP output usually has a bit of text "where(:column 1 == 'F') or something

I am doing some scripting and I don't want that text showing up. Is there a way to keep that from happening or to remove it after the fact. Typically i just use the BY() command, but in this instance I want to basically iterate through the BY() leve...

  • How to save report as a text file via script?

Hi all, I have a script to run a logistics regression. I then want to save it as a text file, akin to doing a Ctrl+s with that report open, selecting "txt file" in "Save as type", then saving it. Is there a way to script this last saving part? I've tried Save(), SaveAs(), Save Text File() and none of them seem to work. I'm intending to then use a separate bash script to parse through that text fil...

Hier...

  • Selecting a test to determine when to end an experiment?

We have an experiment testing a population's response to a chemical with three sampling points in time. The measurements at these time points are the dosage with a significant effect on the test population.  I want to know if the measurements at the first and last time points (middle time point too) are normally equal or different. It would save money to end the experiment at sampling point 1 if t...

  • Comparing Life Data Sets

Hello, Some statistical SW packages offer the ability to compare two or more sets of reliability or life data in order to determine which of the data sets has a more favorable life distribution. The data sets could be from two alternate designs, manufacturers, lots, assembly lines, etc. The data sets may contain censored data. In general, the problem boils down to that of being able to determine a...
