Why does console and referenced data table reopen when I double-click a .jrp file from Windows explorer?

I have a JMP console and .jmp data table open and two saved (but not opened) .jrp files that reference the saved .jmp data table. When I double-click either of the two saved .jrp files in Windows explorer, they each open a new instance of the JMP console and referenced data table.
