  • Normalize data by overlay in Graph Builder with local data filter

I have a graph I'm making in graph builder (I could use bivariate too) and using a local data filter.  I'm wondering if there's a way to auto-normalize these graphs so that they're on the same scale?  I tried to do the range scale, but it doesn't seems to take into account the overlay or the local data filter from what I can tell.  Currently I do this:local data filter, subsetmake a column that di...

  • Auto-stretching a Contour Plot

I'd like to create a Contour Plot which incorporates the functionality for fitting the chart to the size of the window containing it (i.e. if the user enlarges the window, the chart expands automatically to fill the available space).  If it were a Graph Box, this could be done by setting the "<< auto stretching(1, 1)" property, but that doesn't seem to work with a Contour Plot.  Can it be done?  A...

  • Closing data tables automatically when a window is closed

Hi,I have a script which produces both a data table and a window which contains some charts derived from that data table.  I'd like to arrange for the data table to be closed if the user closes the chart window.  How do I do that please?  I've tried using the "<< on close" property of the window, but am evidently doing something wrong as it appears to be having no effect.(Obviously I could add a b...

  • Adding labels to Graph Builder heat map

After scouring the forums and manuals and clicking all over JMP11 with zero success, I figured I should just ask here before I tear my hair out.
I've created a heat map using Graph Builder, and I'd like to display the actual values for each cell in my heat map. Seems as if this should be straightforward, but nothing's working. I'm no JMP novice, but am I missing something obvious? How can this be d...

  • How to directly query Honeywell Process History Database from JMP?

Hello to you out there that also work in process plants that use Honeywell control systems and process data historian (Honeywell PHD)! Like me, you probably spend a lot of time analyzing process data. You probably use the PHD Excel Add-in to get the data into MSExcel and then export to JMP. Has anyone out there figured out how to directly query PHD from JMP and bypass Excel? I've seen this done wi...

  • Problem with adjusting number of levels for group Y in graph builder

I have a problem with adjusting number of levels for group Y in graph builder. I have 70 levels and would like to display all of them in the y group on the right side. I choose to show all levels and "number of levels" as 7 because I would like it to display it in sets of 10 (1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc. up to 61-70) It always gives me some odd arrangement of the levels: 1-9, 9-18, 18-26, 26-32, 32-39...

  • Co-Kriging with JMP and Matlab

Hi!I was wondering if anyone already tried to work with Co-Kriging, using JMP together with Matlab. As JMP only fits Ordinary Kriging Models (Gaussian Process with Gaussian Correlation Function), I would like to send data (generated with Space Filling JMP Platform) from JMP to Matlab, fit the models there (Matlab), and bring the MODELS back to JMP, to use inside Profile Platform. Do you have any e...

  • Generalized Segmented Distributions

A former classmate of mine from Graduate School has recently published a paper on Generalized Segmented Distributions.  Utilizing this method, the distribution can approach any continuous density function of arbitrary form.  The method is particularly effective in fitting data with sufficient observations that are skewed and/or multimodal.  The paper can be found here:The General Segmented Distrib...
