  • Determine column mean by day and within certain hours

Hi Folks,I have some hourly data and I'm trying to calculate the mean of variable x for each Day when Hour >= 1 and <=10.  I need to store this computed value in column y for each hour of each day.  I have tried Column Mean by Day where I've excluded all hours that fall outside 1 & 10, but Column Mean calculates the value for all data by Day regardless of what's been excluded.  Any suggestions on ...

  • Hiding Intermediate JMP Data Tables

Hi,I have a script that creates a number of intermediate data tables.  The final result of the script is a series of bubbles charts.  Unfortunately, between the beginning of the script and the displaying of the last bubble chart, all the intermediate tables are also displayed.  I don't want to see them -- just the bubble charts.  How can I hide the intermediate tables?  I tried using Invisible, bu...

  • Creating plots via JSL with automatic axis scaling

I am displaying multiple overlay plots within the JSL H and V List Box structure. I change the start and end date of the data displayed in these plots (see code snippet below) and would like the Y axis data to be automatically scaled to fit within the displayed window without have to manually change the Min and Max values each time I change the date range.  I can't find any information in the JSL ...

  • How to export parameters calculated by nonlinear modeling

Alright JMP mavens, you just helped me for the first time earlier today hopefully you have it in you again .So, because of the help I received earlier, I have been able to use JMP to estimate two parameters for over 1400 different experiments. This data has been exported from a database, so each experiment has a unique ID. Now, it would be a real pain to have to manually enter both of these parame...

  • How to resize graphs in Graph Builder in JMP10?

Hello everyone, I've recently upgraded to JMP10 and to my dismay i was unable to change the graph size in Graph Builder. This was easy to do in JMP9  - simply drag the edges of the chart outline to change the size of the graph. However in JMP10, neither dragging nor right clicking inside the graph (Graph --> Size/Scale) no longer works. Is this a bug in JMP 10 or is there something wrong with my i...

  • Using a JSL script to export reports to Word.

I have a script that generates several report tables and would like to add a bit of code that automatically exports the results of the script to a Word document. I have used both "Save As..." and copy & paste methods outside of the script, but have not found a way of capturing the code to include it in my script. Can this be done using JSL?

  • Bland-Altman plot

I tried to create an Bland-Altman plot using the matched pairs option in JMP. Unfortunately, the plot doesn't include the common +-1,96 sd-line and I haven't figured out how to insert this line into the plot. It's no problem to calculate the sd, but I don't know how to integrate it into the plot.Does anyone have an idea on this? Thanks a lot!

  • oh my - so many different methods to calculate percentiles

http://www.amstat.org/publications/jse/v14n3/langford.htmlGosh - I did not realize there were so many different ways to calculate percentiles! I just noticed my results from Excel (formula =percentile (array, percentile) and JMP (quantile plots and data) differed, and that led me to the above website, which identifies about 12 or more different methods! I am at a bit of a loss, for I often use res...
