Create Bar Graphs for Multiple Samples at Once with X Axis Labels
Help! I have a large dataset of environmental sample data with columns for 29 different chemical compounds, and over a thousand rows of samples. We have an excel template that makes bar graphs for us that look like the uploaded picture. One graph is created for each sample, all the bars in the graph are the same colour and the x-axis is labeled with the chemical name. Is there a way to take my d...

Best way to plot Bivariate for many XY pairs?
I have a datatable with 30 columns, which are 2 different measured parameters of the same 15 items, with about 500k measurements (rows). I want to plot paramA by paramB as a scatterplot for each item, so I want to specify which columns need to be plotted against each other. I want 15 plots, showing A vs B for each. This isn't a Matched Pairs analysis, since they're different parameters, but the o...

Efficient moving average algorithm
Hello,Thanks to those who have posted on here before, I've found some useful answers!I have several large data sets (20 million points each!) from an oscilloscope. I want to calculate a moving average. However, the algorithm I've devised is very slow. Here is the code for my formula:"If(Row() < 100, Empty(), Summation(i = Row() - 99, Row(), :Current[i,Empty()]) / 100)"As the width of the averaging...

How can I choose the control group of a Steel With Control test ?
Hello everyone, I would like to perform a nonparametric multiple comparisons test from a "Fit Y by X" report. I want to compare the levels of my variable with a given control level. Nevertheless, when I select "Steel with control" the control group is automatically selected and I can't choose it. I have tried to change the "Value ordering" property of my variable but it doesn't change anything. Do...

Setting the Decimal format in a Quantiles Table
Hi, I do fit Y by X with continuous and ordinal variables repectively. No problem there and it produces a table with the quantiles and they are often to 6 decimal places. I can adjust the formatting in each column seperately, but is there a shortcut that would do the table as a whole? It is a bit of annoyance to do each column indivdually. The usual shortcut for repeating the command (command ...

How to change data type when importing data in Query Builder?
Hello. I'm using the Query Builder in JMP 13 to get my SQL data into JMP. There is a very informative white paper on the Query Builder tool that shows how to change the modeling type and format, but I don't see anything about how to chang the data type. I'm wondering if it's possible to change the data type through Query Builder? My data is store as a varbinary data type in SQL. When I use the ...

row height and font size in reports and in tables
Hi . . . I've changed the default font sizes and types to be larger (e.g., Arial 12pt) and the row heights don't automatically adjust. I can adjust the row heights for the cells in my data tables but I don't know how to make it so the row heights in reports and the column list in my data tables also is increased. Presently all my reports and the column lists are difficult to read because the tex...

Graphical Picture of Design Space for a Mixture Design
I am looking to discover how to get a Graphical Picture of the Design Space for an Extreme Vertices Design and a Space Filling Design. I know how to generate the Design but would like a picture showing the Design Space and all of the Design Points.

How to customize axis labels?
Yes, I know there's an Axis Settings option but it doesn't appear to be able to give me what I need... Basically, I need to able to vary the tick increment. I have data for days 0, 3, 7, 10, and 14 and I need those to be the x axis labels. I can't do an increment of 3 or of 4 because then, obviously, one or several of those days would not be on the x axis. Is there any way that I can customize/cho...

Odds ratios for multiway tables
On twitter earlier today, someone asked if the Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel (CMH) odds ratio (OR) test was available in JMP when the stratification variable is not the X in Fit Y by X. Anytime I need to go from two variables to more than two variables, the first place I look is Fit Model. The beauty of fit model is that not only can I use as many variables as I want, but I can consider interactions bet...

How to find ETA squared effect size for MANOVA?
Hello, Does anyone know how to calculate the eta squared value from a manova analysis in JMP? I know that the E and H matrices tab shows the sum of squares for each parameter, but which values do I use to calculate SStotal and SSeffect? In my model, I have 2 control variables (age and gender) and then a two way factorial. If only one of these variables (in addition to both control variables) is si...

Is there an easy way to get the FWHM (full width half max) of a curve using JMP?
Dear JMP community,Is there an easy way to get the FWHM (full width half max) of a spectral curve using JMP? Finding the minima and maxima are fairly straightforward, but then calculating the FWHM seems to be much more laborious in JMP, especially if the data is sparse and we would like to interpolate to get more accurate intersections between the peak and the FWHM value. In my case, the peak is o...

Co-Kriging with JMP and Matlab
Hi!I was wondering if anyone already tried to work with Co-Kriging, using JMP together with Matlab. As JMP only fits Ordinary Kriging Models (Gaussian Process with Gaussian Correlation Function), I would like to send data (generated with Space Filling JMP Platform) from JMP to Matlab, fit the models there (Matlab), and bring the MODELS back to JMP, to use inside Profile Platform. Do you have any e...

Interpreting canonical structure and scores in discriminant analysis
I'm trying to interpret the relative contributions of my variables in a discriminant function analysis of chemical data for three groups of rocks. In a stepwise, linear, common covariance discriminant function analysis I'm able to generate non-overlapping 95% confidence ellipses for my three groups with no incorrectly assigned data points using 6 variables. My understanding is that the scoring c...
