JMP 18 Set Script difference to JMP 17
Hello, I have recently updated to JMP 18 and I am noticing a difference to the set script function when used in an application script. On JMP 17 I could right click the created box and click Set Script to modify the script directly. On JMP 18 though when I try and do the same thing the script is not in the script editor and I have to revert back to the application. Is this a preference t...

Export to ppt | How to specify which master/template slide to use and where to position the picture
when exporting to ppt, how to specify which master/template slide of the template to use and where to position the picture of a graph?
The default template is located at: "C:\Program Files\JMP\JMP\18\pptx\JMPExportTemplate.pptx".
If i only export a graph builder, i think the "Title and Content" layout is used, how can I specify it to be something else?
I am looking for a built in solution that this w...cisco_bakro

Optimal experimental design in the presence of nested factors
I wanted to learn how to do an optimal experimental design with nested factors.
First, do a simple example with two machines (one with one switch) to compare speed (Response), described in the following research article.

Bad Stacking?
Suppose I have this table: CategoryItemLevelA1deltaA2foxtrotA3hotelB1julietB3lima Note that Category=B, Item=2 is missing. If I try to "split" this table with "Split By" = Category and "Split Columns" = Level, and "Keep All", it returns this: ItemAB1deltajuliet2foxtrotlima3hotel Note that on the newly Split table, it shows that Item=2,Category=B is "lima", but that's incorrect -- that c...

when does model reduction lead to the problem of multiple comparisons?
My interest is in identifying the strongest predictors of annual per capita growth rate for three groups of bird species: residents, short-distance migrants and long-distance migrants. My model has per capita growth rate as the dependent variable, and as predictors bird density during the breeding season, and 13 environmental predictors (various measures of climate, food abundance and nest predat...

Cox Proportional Hazards on nested factors
Hi all! I've been looking into the PH modelling and i have some question on how to properly interpret the data. To demonstrate, i modified the CA Lung Cancer dataset, to help my point along. My first question is a rather general one and it regards the PH model assumptions. Here a nice paper reviewing the issues with the published papers that use PH. They also list some strategies on how to dea...

steps to use the minimum p-value approach with log-rank test?
I am interested in applying the minimum p-value approach using the p-values obtained from the log-rank test. However, I am uncertain about the specific steps involved. Could you kindly advise me on how to proceed? I am currently using the following version: JMP® Student Edition 18.2.0, running on Microsoft Windows 11 Home.

Scale IDs in Add Graphics Script not working
I created a script to draw graphs from JSON objects, which works well, but when I tried to overlay one graph on another using two Y axes, I could not get it to work; it always used the left Y axis. I thought I was doing something wrong, but I finally realized that even the example in the Scripting Guide does not work as it should. This example is supposed to use the right Y axis, labeled "Test,"...
