  • Background subtraction based on variables

Hi Everyone, I am new to JMP and I need some help on selecting the specific rows from a column and subtract rest of the column based on the variable. Herewith, I have attached a data in which you can see  Target, Replicates, Cell, Data order and Data. Basically, I wanted to subtract the background data from rest of the data with cell and data order specific. For instance, let's consider D in Targe...

  • DOE for Discrete Data (Categorical Type Response)

Hey JMPers! I am struggling to make a discrete data model on JMP 12. I tried to find the answers with many of indices. Now it seems like I am stuck out. First I thought the choice design is what I want but it probably not. The structure of data is simple. Here is an example data table. I'd like to check A and E (DF of E should be 40000 you know..)  ONLY in ANOVA table. If anybody has solutions, pl...

  • Easier way to exit jmp with multiple tables each having multiple graphs/analyses?

My typical workday involves the creation of multiple tables each of which may have multiple graphs/analyses.Is there away, for a given table, to automatically save all of its open graphs/analyses as scripts in the table itself (and then, optionally, close all of the graphs).Having some patience issues in exiting the JMP program and having to save all the tables without losing the analyses.

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...

  • JMP exit code

Hi All, My script works just fine but I do get this exit code -2147023895. Any idea what this is? I believe the exit code should be wither 0 or 1. Maybe I am using a function in the wrong context. Thank you.

  • PCA Model Validation Techniques

PCA can be used to build a model that describes a set of observations. Using the multivariate platform it is possible to perform jacknife and T2 outlier analysis to check if any of the observations are extreme relative to the multivariate mean.In what situation might a weights column be used to build the model? If you use a PCA model how do you maintain it? If I have a new observation(s), I can app...

  • Conceptual question about the profit matrix

This issue has been discussed previously, but I keep finding myself confused about how to use the profit matrix.  My question is conceptual in nature, so let's just use some simple numbers.  Suppose I have data on customer churn and I build a predictive model for churn (the particular technique does not matter for this question).  My decision errors are not symmetric, however, so I want to modify ...

  • Cox Proportional Hazard - adjusting risk ratio with std dev

I'm working with someone who is using SAS and I'm trying to do the same analysis in JMP.  When I  questioned their hazard ratio they said it was adjusted by the standard deviation. They commented:In order to obtain results in units of 1 standard deviation – you simply get the standard deviation value for parameter of interest and introduce it in the PH regression statement, for example:proc phreg ...

  • JSL How do I wrap the title text of a OutlineBox?

Hi all, I often use the Set Title() message to overwrite the OutlineBox titles of charts, distributions, etc. My first issue is that the OutlineBox does not support the Set Wrap() message. Is there any replacement I could use? To work around the missing Set Wrap(), I started inserting newlines "\!n" in the tiitle text. After doing this, I have noticed a second issue: Whatever number of newlines I ...
