  • Export data table to Excel using scripting

Dear community members, I encountered a problem with the JMP EXCEL export to xlsx files and the reimport to Filemaker PRO. Saving a JMP data table as an xlsx file and trying to import it FileMaker results in the correct number of imported rows and columns, but no data is being transfered. Open the xlsx file in EXCEL and saving the file again in excel solves the problem. Any suggestions what could ...

  • PCA Model Validation Techniques

PCA can be used to build a model that describes a set of observations. Using the multivariate platform it is possible to perform jacknife and T2 outlier analysis to check if any of the observations are extreme relative to the multivariate mean.In what situation might a weights column be used to build the model? If you use a PCA model how do you maintain it? If I have a new observation(s), I can app...

  • Running Count of Repeated Values JSL Script?

I would like to script a running count or cumulative sum of repeated values within a column. For example, first appearance should equal 1, max value of count by value specified should equal the cumulative sum of the value within the column.colorcount_colorRED1RED2BLUE1YELLOW1RED3Ideally, the output for :count_color would not need the data table to be sorted by :colorThanks.

  • Conceptual question about the profit matrix

This issue has been discussed previously, but I keep finding myself confused about how to use the profit matrix.  My question is conceptual in nature, so let's just use some simple numbers.  Suppose I have data on customer churn and I build a predictive model for churn (the particular technique does not matter for this question).  My decision errors are not symmetric, however, so I want to modify ...

  • Cox Proportional Hazard - adjusting risk ratio with std dev

I'm working with someone who is using SAS and I'm trying to do the same analysis in JMP.  When I  questioned their hazard ratio they said it was adjusted by the standard deviation. They commented:In order to obtain results in units of 1 standard deviation – you simply get the standard deviation value for parameter of interest and introduce it in the PH regression statement, for example:proc phreg ...

Is there any replacement I could use? To work around the missing Set Wrap(), I started inserting newlines "\!n" in the tiitle text. After doing this, I have noticed a second issue: Whatever number of newlines I ...
