  • Finding a correlation coefficient and putting it into a table

I have created 2 files to demonstrate my problem.  In "Test 1" I have data from 4 people (i.e., AAAA, BBBB, CCCC, DDDD). Each person has 8 responses to an "estimate" question and 8 responses to a "truth" question. Half the responses are from Domain "0" and the other half from Domain "1".   I would like to find the correlation of between the estimate and truth question for each person in each domai...

  • Custom DoE (RSM) with variables that change level during experiment

Hi Community,   I am trying to design a response surface experiment but am unsure of how I can include variables that change level during the experiment. How do I plot in variables with changing levels in the custom DoE editor?   Constraints: 24 experiments in 1 block (not sure if possible)Experiment runs over 16 days with sampling points every day (with a response curve (Y) as the result)Response...

  • Preference to set alpha in Fit Model multiple comparisons

Hi all, Anyone know of an easy way to set a preference that changes the alpha value for multiple comparisons tests in Fit Model? I was thinking I would find it in Preferences > Platforms > LSMeans Comparisons but it isn't there. Right now all I can do is either (1) CTRL-SHIFT-click the LSMeans option that I want and type the new alpha in multiple times, or (2) build the analysis with the default 0...

  • Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test

When I run the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank option in JMP I am getting very different answers from what I am getting in SAS. Is there a way to get the code that is used in each option (SAS and JMP) or the formulas used to figure out why the results are different?

Thanks for the help in advance.

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...

  • Conceptual question about the profit matrix

This issue has been discussed previously, but I keep finding myself confused about how to use the profit matrix.  My question is conceptual in nature, so let's just use some simple numbers.  Suppose I have data on customer churn and I build a predictive model for churn (the particular technique does not matter for this question).  My decision errors are not symmetric, however, so I want to modify ...

  • Cox Proportional Hazard - adjusting risk ratio with std dev

I'm working with someone who is using SAS and I'm trying to do the same analysis in JMP.  When I  questioned their hazard ratio they said it was adjusted by the standard deviation. They commented:In order to obtain results in units of 1 standard deviation – you simply get the standard deviation value for parameter of interest and introduce it in the PH regression statement, for example:proc phreg ...

  • JSL How do I wrap the title text of a OutlineBox?

Hi all, I often use the Set Title() message to overwrite the OutlineBox titles of charts, distributions, etc. My first issue is that the OutlineBox does not support the Set Wrap() message. Is there any replacement I could use? To work around the missing Set Wrap(), I started inserting newlines "\!n" in the tiitle text. After doing this, I have noticed a second issue: Whatever number of newlines I ...
