This must be a common way to 'sample' long column of data. For example, after sorting a column of 10,000 rows from min to max, generate a column with 100 averages (or sums) of every 100 rows.In Excel, this can be done with a formula using the OFFSET function. How can this be done in JMP? Thank you,Tom
Hello,I have different variables (Y1, Y2,) spaced evenly with time (X). I suspect that there is a delay time between the two responses Y1 and Y2 based on the process involved and would like to estimate by how much I must timeshift the data (i.e. what is the delay time) so as to compare Y1 and Y2 at the same row number?I tried to use the auto-correlation function to determine the periodicity in eac...
So here's my challenge. Let's say a product is tested for levels of Fat, Protein, Moisture, etc. before selling to a customer. All product is deemed Premium. We want to know what % of our product meets the highest customer specifications, i.e. excellent Protein and excellent Fat and excellent Moisture, etc. Such product could be deemed Super Premium. We are predominantly interested in knowing the ...
Font size of the significance circles. I am able to change it one circle at at time. Is there a way to do this simultaneously for all the circles? Thanks for input!

Hi, It would be great to get inputs on an approach to automate identification of parameters that can distinguish a bivariate response as shown in the example plot below. The data set has ~20k numerical continuous columns and one character response column. The response column has entries of the letter A or B. Objective is to identify parameters that can identify as many of category B without identi...
Hello everyone! I need some advice. For my master's thesis at the University Hospital of Antwerp, I am working on an experiment that measures how much and what plasticizers (= toxic plastic components) are released from plastic medical devices during medical use. Specifically, we measured the release of plasticizers from an infusion circuit during infusion of nutritional fluid at different time po...
The first time running the script shown below returns this error "Name Unresolved: m{36803} in access or evaluation of 'm', m/*###*/", while every subsequent run does not return that error. Why is this?DataCV=open("C:\Desktop\JMP\sample_CV_data.csv");
Summarize( DataCV, processArray = By( :process ) );
Summarize( DataCV, ctypeArray = By( :c_type ) );
For( n = 1, n <= Length( ctypeArray ), n++,...
Dear JMP Community, (W10, 64-bit, JMP Pro 15.2.1) I am running a model to assess the active predictors. I am doing this by using the Autovalidation add-in to generate a Null Factor for my data. I then use the GenReg platform to find estimates for each possible X-factor and then Bootstrap those estimates to get a better assessment of the contributions to the response. I came across a very stran...
Hello, I'm attempting to build an application in application builder. I have two modules currently. The first module is a series of number edit boxes and lists that allow the user to input values and make selections.After pushing a button, the inputs and/or list selections update table variables in a data table that subsequently updates column equations. The data table opens in the background so ...
How do I get a whole model significance test when conducting a generalized regression using the negative binomial distribution? I can get the individual effect significance tests, but I do not see where I can get the whole model significance.
Using JMP 12.x, I noticed that: tablebox() <<sort by column does sort the column fine, but it does not seem to preserve any existing cell coloring post row sort. Is there any way to force it to preserve the existing cell colors post row sorting?
thanks, DJ
I'm using the neural platform to calculate a model that makes predictions from some observed data and want to compare the performance of that model to other models (not from JMP). To compare the different models, I want to compare the observed data and the predictions from the different models.The R2 is not a good measure because it checks for any linear relationship between the observed and predi...
