  • Sum values

I have a column that has 3000 values.  I'd like to use a script to create another table that has values 1-5 from the original table summed and then 6-10 summed and so on.  So the new table would have 600 values since each value is the summation of 5 values from the original table. Any ideas?

Hello, I need to check that a column contains only integers before running the rest of my script but I don't know how to do that. Ideally I would like to be able to identify precisely the rows with decimal values. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have 2462 rows by 13 columns. Some of these rows contain duplicate values in 12 of the 13 columns. The column that always contains unique text is called PK.SAMPLE. How can I find these rows of almost exact duplicates and remove them from the data set?

  • Formula editor keeps adding parentheses that change the math

While entering a formula, at a certain point the editor adds parentheses automatically that change the formula.  It's repeatable, always when I add the second minus sign in this formula: A * B * (1- I * I * R) - I *  I * R * C The added parentheses prevent me from entering the correct formula.  BOX here means the little box that appears in the editor when I hit the second minus sign:A * B * (  (1-...

What does that mean? What is the problem? The add-in is generally function...

  • How do I calculate z-scores at different aggregation levels?

Hello,  How do I use JSL to calculate Z-scores at different levels of aggregation? I am working with cancer mortality data (1999 - 2015) at the county-level. I need to calculate Z-scores to compare each county to the others within a state and all counties within the country. I cannot simply use the standardize function because it automatically takes an average of rates--which is invalid unless the...
