    Hi All, I am trying to sort my Data Table, it hase duplicate values:As you see, I have same value for different name in CHART_PARAMETER, my interest is to take only rows that have one type of CHART_PARAMETER per each value. I tryed Filter Data but it opens JMP window with options to choose, I am trying to do all calculations so user wont see them and create a new Data Table with selected rows and ...

  • Sum specific columns in each row

    I would like to sum specific columns in each row.I can find the maximum value in each row using the below :location =  Loc Max( dt[r, {a,b,c} ); but cannot use the sum Total = Sum( dt[r, {a,b,c} );

  • Sampling data every n points

    Hi everyone, I am trying to sample data every 50 rows and check if values in a column, F, gives F(50)-F(1)>1. I don't want to use the lag function as it should only sample at row 1, 50, 100, 150 and so on. Thanks in advance!

  • Pass Empty Variables to Function

    The below code doesn't work, b/c JSL evaluates emptyVar when you try to pass it to the function instead of evaluating it on run time w/in the function.   isEmptyTest = Function({var}, return(isempty(var)); ); isEmptyTest(emptyVar);   It would be awesome if this was changed.

  • Set Formula Loop - Using a column string & variable

    I have two variables that are used to define 15 columns total. They are a = {"1", "2", "3", "4", "5"} and b = {"1", "2", "3"}. Currently there are 15 columns that are already created with the notation of Column("11"), Column("12"), Column("13"), Column("21"), aka Column(b[1] || a[1]), Column(b[1] || a[2]), etc... I averaged the first 6 rows of those 15 existing columns and placed it into an array ...

  • How to rearrange tables/results in JMP distribution and ultimately create an application in JSL?

    Dear All,Suppose, I have two data sets. I am using standard example Sample library>> Big Class.jmp.Data set 1: All the 40 students of a class.Data set 2: Subset of just female students of the the class.Need: I would like to compare distribution of [age,sex,height,weight] for Dataset 1 and 2.For this I open both the reports, combine these reports using JMP>file> application. When I combine applicat...

  • JMP script: How to create summary of a bunch of cols without specifying column names?

    I'm looking to create a script which performs a series of steps, first of which is to create an N-statistic summary of an unspecified number of columns with unspecified names. The guides I've seen so far on jmp scripted summary tables require the column names to be specified. I can specify the group, e.g. Group(:Column1), but I want all other columns from column2 onwards to have an N-summary creat...

  • How to Maintain JMP Graphs Table Layout When Copy and Pasting into Word

    For years I've had to build sets of graphs using the Fit Y by X platform. The graphs are simple: X-axis is always (1) a character, nominal column and (2) a numeric, continuous date/time column. The Y-axis is always numeric, continuous data (bins, registers, parameters). The result is a list of box plot on the left, time trend on the right. There could be many plots at a time. In JMP 12 (and I thin...

  • Odds ratios for multiway tables

    On twitter earlier today, someone asked if the Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel (CMH) odds ratio (OR) test was available in JMP when the stratification variable is not the X in Fit Y by X. Anytime I need to go from two variables to more than two variables, the first place I look is Fit Model. The beauty of fit model is that not only can I use as many variables as I want, but I can consider interactions bet...

  • How to find ETA squared effect size for MANOVA?

    Hello, Does anyone know how to calculate the eta squared value from a manova analysis in JMP? I know that the E and H matrices tab shows the sum of squares for each parameter, but which values do I use to calculate SStotal and SSeffect? In my model, I have 2 control variables (age and gender) and then a two way factorial. If only one of these variables (in addition to both control variables) is si...

  • Is there an easy way to get the FWHM (full width half max) of a curve using JMP?

    Dear JMP community,Is there an easy way to get the FWHM (full width half max) of a spectral curve using JMP? Finding the minima and maxima are fairly straightforward, but then calculating the FWHM seems to be much more laborious in JMP, especially if the data is sparse and we would like to interpolate to get more accurate intersections between the peak and the FWHM value. In my case, the peak is o...

  • Co-Kriging with JMP and Matlab

    Hi!I was wondering if anyone already tried to work with Co-Kriging, using JMP together with Matlab. As JMP only fits Ordinary Kriging Models (Gaussian Process with Gaussian Correlation Function), I would like to send data (generated with Space Filling JMP Platform) from JMP to Matlab, fit the models there (Matlab), and bring the MODELS back to JMP, to use inside Profile Platform. Do you have any e...
