  • How to Create New Column Based on Values from Two Other Columns?

    Hello:
I'm a long time JMP user, and have just started delving into scripting and use of the formula editor. I have a large table (approx 10K rows). I have several columns of interest: Patient_ID: unique identifier for each patientTime: timepoint at which lab sample was collectedLAB_VALUE: value for the lab parameter with 3 discrete possibilities (NORMAL, MILD, SEVERE)SEX: Sex of the patient I'd li...

  • Importing messy Excel files & testing if null

Dear JMP Community,   I have the task of writing a script that is intended to automate the importing of data from "messy" Excel files. I say "messy" because the actual data that I want to pull out of the Excel files is not organized in neat columns and rows -- it's all over the place -- but it's always in the same place in each Excel file. The files basically contain lot information on our product...

  • How to make one way anova with mean, std, n as input

Hi, I am completely new to JMP. I have googled several guides to one way anova, but they all seem to be based on data sets with all the data points for each category. Whereas I have already reduced my data sheet to the mean, standard deviation and number og points in each sample I am analyzing. Can these be used as input to anova?

  • Questions regarding box plot graphics

    Hi
Im doing some box plots and got some trouble regarding the spacing between boxed etc.
To get points separated I moved Gender from overlay to the X-axis (see pictures). However, the spacing changed so thereäs more empty space between boxes. Makes sense so the points can be seen and jittered. However I would like to try with less space between and use transparent points. But can't find any soluti...

Every week (Day 7, 14, 21, 28) subjects were weighed to analyse performance data (weight gain, feed efficiency, mortality etc.). The exact same trial was repeated in the same facility two months later, using the exact same diets and trial protocol. I want to comb...

  • RE: Invalid Row Number Error

Hi,  I was just wondering about this error I got when I ran my script:Invalid Row Number{92} in access or evaluation of 'Subscript' , colInstructions[q]The value of q never reaches 92 so I'm not sure where that number came from, or is 92 in relation to something else? Just for some background information I created a new column to which I'm assigning the value of a cell from another data table (col...

  • JMP Tabulate

Hi, Whenever I use the Tabulate platform to make tables, then copy it with the thick + sign and paste on a word document, I get a series of small tables which take a lot of time to edit and make into one table. Any tricks to save time will be appreciated.

  • How to Add Profit Matrix to Neural Net Confusion Matrix

Hi all, I'm using a neural net to predict whether or not a customer will prefer to buy retail items at a markdown or if they are likely to buy full-price (i.e., "bargain buyers" vs. traditional shoppers). I'd like to incoporate the opportunity cost of a false positive (giving discounts to what would otherwise be a full-price shopper) using a profit matrix, but changing values on the matrix in the ...

I just discovered this nifty tool called the Capability Animation, where you can play around, dragging the spec limits and mean shifts, and it simulates your capability indices. But, I cannot see the actual LSL/USL values as I drag them! Does anyone know how to make this happen?
