Copy column prediction formulas to new column
Hi community, This is probably an easy fix, but I'm stumped... I am looking for a scripting answer. I am trying to make a generic workflow in a JSL add-on consisting of the following steps:1: Create new column with non-linear prediction expression and parameters (done)2: Model non-linear data with prediction expression and fit by groups (done)3: Save prediction formula by groups in a new column (d...

Scripting to interpolate missing time series weather data?
With hourly interval weather data there are occasional missing data points (missed reads). I’d like to interpolate missing data point(s) – temperature, humidity, barometric pressure typically change gradually during a day. I’d like to interpolate between the last and next time-series value in a column to get the missing value(s) to clean the data. Imputation using the “Explore Missing Values” p...

Is it Possible to Create a Scatter Plot with Pairs of Points Connected in GraphBuilder?
Hi, I would like to create a large number (~100) of partially connected scatter plots similar to the mock example below:Mock Connected Scatter PlotEach connecting line connects the Baseline (BL) point to the Week 24 (W24) point for a patient. The data would be in the folling formatLet me know if you have any ideas: I certainly don't want to draw each connecting line by hand like I did on the mock ...

How to scale each column?
Hello everyone,I have a simple question, I want to scale each column in a data table. So that each value of the same column is divided by the standard deviation of the column.Of course I can use the formula editor therefore if I have only a few columns, unfortunately I have over 1000 columns. So it would be great to have a function/tool in JMP which allows me to do that with all columns iterative....

VIP plot in JMP PLS platform
Hi, I have a question reagarding the Variable Importance in the Projection plot in JMP. In JMP, i only get one VIP plot with default cut-off line at 0.8. However, if we do PLS methods, shouldn't we have n of VIP plots (n is the component number) ? So I wonder why JMP only has one VIP plot? My guess is JMP use the first component in PLS? Hope someone could give some insights about this. I checked ...

JSL: How to get retrieve names of more than one currently selected tables?
Hi folks. I'm dealing with new tables every day (unique table names) which always have at least one common column header, which I use to Match Columns for Join. This is getting repetitive so I've been thinking of writing a script. Problem: I don't want to have to specify both the table names in the script every time I want to Join two tables. I'm looking for a method for the script to auto/semi-au...

JSL How do I wrap the title text of a OutlineBox?
Hi all, I often use the Set Title() message to overwrite the OutlineBox titles of charts, distributions, etc. My first issue is that the OutlineBox does not support the Set Wrap() message. Is there any replacement I could use? To work around the missing Set Wrap(), I started inserting newlines "\!n" in the tiitle text. After doing this, I have noticed a second issue: Whatever number of newlines I ...

Understanding the Dispatch and Legend Model and what exactly is Base(0,0,0)?
My problem is two fold. Im writing a JSL Function to create some custom charts at work. Everything is working fine. Thats great. But I dont understand why - and I am trying to break down the code. Most of I wrote myself, but some aspects I made the tweaks within JMP, copied the scripts and used the parts that generated what I needed. Some of the code chunks that get added in are intuitive to read ...
