  • I've found my optimum categorical level; how do I drop the rest during design augmentation?

Let's say I've designed my initial main effect screening experiment, where one of the factors is a 3-level categorical (A, B, C).  After the first set of experiments, I'm fairly certain that level B is my process optimum decision and want to augment the design to get two-factor interactions, etc. How do I restrict the design augmentation to only explore the B level? Using "Hide and Exclude" leads ...

  • What is the equations to calculate prediction intervals for the next one sample and multiple samples?

Hi! I have been taking the JMP free courses. In the Decision Making with Data course, the instructor showed the prediction interval table for one sample and five samples (see the attached screenshot) but didn't give an equation to show how to calculate that. I searched online and found this equation: PI = x̂ ± t* (s√(1+1/n)). In this case, what is the n value I should use to calculate for one samp...

  • How can I show in Graph Builder that there are outliers not shown?

Good morning!I run into this problem almost daily where I have a graph with outliers that are many orders of magnitude out of range of the rest of my data (graph on left).  I need to adjust the y-axis to show the detail of the collected data (graph on right), but I'd still like to indicate to the viewer that there are outliers that aren't shown (like the red triangles I mocked up in MS Paint and c...

  • Conditional formatting in JMP 17

Hi, I updated the Cpk color codes at conditional formatting in Preferences > Reports > Conditional format rule > Capability Index. After the change is made, I clicked Apply and Okay to close the window. However, the color codes will return to default after I restart JMP 17. I had to update the conditional formatting again. How do I save this for good in JMP 17? I don't have this issue in JMP 16.  ...

  • Linearity and Bias study

Hello Community, While performing the Linearity and the bias study, if the P value for the Bias is less than 0.05--then that marks the presence of bias in the scale. Further, the average bias value is less than the resolution of my scale and secondly, the bias is not in increasing or decreasing fashion but, randomly fluctuated at different standard reference weights. Can it be concluded that the s...

  • JMP Script Window - Hovering over a variable do not show the value stored in the variable if passed between scripts

I am able to pass variable content correctly between the included scripts but it looks like hovering do not work on included script windows (showing empty variable content ...

  • Slope and Intercept Collector error "matrix must be non-singular in access or evaluation of 'Inv' , Inv/*###*/(x` * x)"

HI all,I have a question about an error I'm getting when using @stan_koprowski's slope and intercept add-in. I've posted my question on the add-in's thread but due to the much lower exposure compared to discussion posts, I thought that it might be a good idea to ask here as well. I made a mock data table with three groups and several observations in each group. When I run the add-in I am getting t...
