  • Linear Regression Interpreting output

I have this output and I want to know what is the expected A value when C equals 0. Don't I just set 0 in the linear equation and get A=2.6? (I've told that the answer is 3.6..)   In addition, does anyone know what is the meaning of: "Calculate the value of the TOTAL"?   Thank you everyone!

  • Copy values from specific columns of an exiting data-table to another data-table while multiplying selected rows by a constant

I have been able to do the first part (copy) but I am struggling with the second (multiply) part. Any direction is appricated. My example script is below. Names Default To Here( 1 ); bcdt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA\Big Class.jmp", invisible ); //load a data-table myNewdt = New Table( "Parameters Table", //create a new data-table Add Rows(8), New Column( "Parameter" ), New Column( "H", Numeric), Ne...

  • Encrypting Decrypting with Powershell

I'm trying to encrypt a list of valid JSL using runprogram/powershell.  It's important that this is only a single call to powershell because of performance.  I thought I had it working but realized that single or double quotes messes me up when they're nested lists.   Also, I can NOT write to a file and have powershell read that.  works great, not allowed to do it though.  I think I'm just broken ...

  • Joining Multiple Tables by Row

Greetings, I’ve been beating my head for long enough with code that should be quite simple.   I would like to take tables opened from multiple excel file and sheets and join them in a wide table with columns that are named to correspond to their excel sheet. In my case, columns should be as shown below.     Col 1 of TestWB1Sheet1Col 2 of TestWB1Sheet1Col 3 of TestWB1Sheet1Col 1 of TestWB1Sheet2......

  • Reshaping data: what is the best way to aggregate rows of the same object into one row?

I have a table with more than a thousand rows. A row is an object that has 5 measurements associated with it at each event.  An object may appear in multiple rows because of multiple measurements performed at different events,  Here is what the table looks like.  Alias column is the object name (the 19 objects seen here are unique, i.e, measured only once).   What I need is a table where each row...

  • JSL help: Can Outline Boxes be assigned functions?

Hi All,     I was working on coding for a different subject when I needed to search the community for some support, but I came across this post from many years ago and it got me wondering, could it be done (there was no solution to the original post)? Can Outline boxes be assigned a function so that depending on their open/close state, it will close/open other outline boxes? If another outline box...

  • Controlling the .jmp suffix at end of table names

Hi.  Does anyone know how to control if the ".jmp" extension appears at the end of your table name when opened?   I've noticed when I open some tables it's there, but on other tables, not.  I do not know why.  I'm writing a script that uses the table name and I need it to be consistent. Is there a preference I can use to control it, or some command?  I have considered just arbitrarily stripping th...

  • Variability Chart Platform Factor Re-Insert Positions (Not Swapping)

Hello JMP Community, I understand dragging between any two factors swaps the location pairs in the Variability Chart platform. Is there a way to drag to specifically re-insert the factors instead? For example, can I drag "Layout" between "Horizontal" and "Wafer ID" in the attached screenshot instead of performing multiple drags to have the intended result? I am aware I can do this reordering with ...

  • Get (x & y) intercept values from linear fit of the linear region of a curve/data and store them in a new column

I have JMP data table with data from several parts for which a Capacitance 'C' has been measured as a function of reverse voltage 'V' (0 to -5 V in -0.1V step). A plot of [1/C]^2 vs V has a linear part for small reverse bias (say from 0 V to -0.5V and data is available at 0, -0.1, -0.2, -03, -0.4 -0.5 V within this range). How to do a linear fit to the points between 0 to -5V for each part, extrac...
