  • How to run stats on C:N ratios

Hi everyone,In my research I am examining Carbon:Nitrogen ratios. I have been unable to figure out how to run a statistical analysis on these ratios, and maybe it is not possible, I do not know. Attached is my data. Any guidance on this would be appreciated. Thank youLaura

  • Using control limit values later in script

I am working on writing a script with an end goal of generating a control chart with additional reference lines based on the JMP-calculated control limits added to it. What I believe I need to do is find the numeric values for  _KSigma, _Std Dev, _Mean, _LCL, and _UCL. From there, I need to use these values to calculate another reference line that needs to be added back to the original control cha...

  • Regression Covariables

Quick question. I am using a Cox regression model and was wondering if I could include variables that are dependent upon each other in the same model. For example, would adding height, weight, and BMI as covariables affect the model, given that BMI is directly dependent upon height and weight? Another example, in transplant studies I want to know how gender affects survival. So I use both recipien...

  • Calculation of FPCA scores FDE

How do I get in the FDE the formula columns for calculating FPCA scores? I have a NIR spectra training set with scores on 4 FPCA eigenfuctions and a GLS model predicting very well a quality parameter. How do I compute the scores from new spectra projected in the eigenfuction space of the training set? I would like to construct multivariate control charts with new scores?

  • Call function in checkbox

Hi, I am building a simple interface for the user and have a window to set some options using check boxes. I am currently able to make the first call function and the script filters the string "SE" from the columns and generates outliers. However, if I check 2nd and 3rd checkbox it does not call the function  I tried the following script:Names Default To Here(1); dt = Open("$SAMPLE_DATA/Water Trea...

  • How do I get Odds Ratios after fitting a GLM with binomial distribution and logit function?

Hi everyone,I need to get OR after fitting a GLM with binomial distribution and logit function - that is a logistic model. I cannot fit a "nominal logistic" where there's the option for OR because I need to use the Firth adjustment for small-sample bias (I can only do that for that GLM). Is there an option to get the Odds Ratios? Thank you in advance. Antony

  • Return number from specified row of calculation column in either a text edit box or number edit box in an add in

Hello,  I'm attempting to build an application in application builder. I have two modules currently. The first module is a series of number edit boxes and lists that allow the user to input values and make selections. After pushing a button, the inputs and/or list selections update table variables in a data table that subsequently updates column equations. The data table opens in the background so ...

  • Comparing observed/predicted from different models. (Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) or Mean Absolute Error (MAE))?

I'm using the neural platform to calculate a model that makes predictions from some observed data and want to compare the performance of that model to other models (not from JMP). To compare the different models, I want to compare the observed data and the predictions from the different models. The R2 is not a good measure because it checks for any linear relationship between the observed and predi...

  • Problem specifying model for a partly nested ANOVA design

My study design is mixed-model with one fixed between-plot fixed factor (A), a random plot factor (B), nested in A (B[A]), and two crossed within-plot fixed factors (C and D).  I'm able to enter a full factorial model that includes the 3 fixed factors and all their interactions, using either the Least Squares or Mixed-Model Personality.  I'm also able to add the random factor (B[A]), but things go...
