  • zoom out in graph builder

Hi all, I am trying to zoom out in the graph builder mode - and have read the instructions. They say just press ALT key twice or hold it while pressing the zoom key once - et voila, you get the original plot back with the original scale restored. But it never happened to me! I am tweaking the same graph for 5 minutes now and it is frankly very annoying :). Do I do something wrong or can anybody hel...

  • Survey weight question

I am working with some Census data that comes from a survey.  There is a weight variable, given that they use a fairly complex sampling scheme to ensure adequate representation from different groups.  I am aware that JMP will compute weighted averages when analyzing distributions, if I put the weight variable in the Weight box of the dialog.  I am also aware that JMP ignores the weight variable wh...

  • Get current state of Suppress Eval?

I know that in JSL I can change Suppress Eval flag on individual columns to prevent that column's formula from being evaluated.  This is useful for complex formulas that take a while to evaluate.  I can eval once and suppress it, but keep the formula intact so i can go back and eval again later if needed. In some situations, when I am doing operations that iterate over multiple columns, I would li...

  • Help with retrieving value from argument

Hello, I'm starting to dabble with with connecting JMP and Python. When I run a small HTTP request (POST) I get the following statement back getstr = ["shortId" => "4bb3c98fb63579f6f1c615b1adcdc8d5", "userListId" => 30913859]; I'm trying to find the syntax to retrieve  the value associated with "userListID". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sebastien

  • Matched pair analysis with categorical responses

Hello everyone, This will be straightforward I'm sure. I have 100 rows of data representing individuals. The two columns are binned percentages (0-10%, 11-20% etc.), one for two different years. If the responses were numeric, the matched pair analysis would be exactly what I want. But the responses are categorical so that is out. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!Best regards,Greg

  • Need help with for loop and assigning journals via button boxes

Hello,  I started working with Jump on 10/12/2020, so I am very new to all of this. I have solved most of the issues with this community board but I am completely stuck with this one.  I am attempting to create a tracker for technician training, hour logs, etc. I am using a for loop to gather the information and turn it into data tables to be graphed. I then, in the same for loop, create a button ...

  • Problem specifying model for a partly nested ANOVA design

My study design is mixed-model with one fixed between-plot fixed factor (A), a random plot factor (B), nested in A (B[A]), and two crossed within-plot fixed factors (C and D).  I'm able to enter a full factorial model that includes the 3 fixed factors and all their interactions, using either the Least Squares or Mixed-Model Personality.  I'm also able to add the random factor (B[A]), but things go...
