  • Simulate results for a table of statistics in a report

Hello everyone, so I have been testing around with the simulation feature in JMP, which you can use to simulate statistics from reports where you have a random component (Overview of the Simulate Feature (jmp.com)). To the best of my knowledge, you can only simulate one column at a time. Is it possible to perform the simulation for the whole output table instead of having to simulate each column o...

  • DSD Interpretation and Next Steps

Good morning, I'm currently learning JMP and about DSD/optimization. I ran my first experiment and would like feedback on the analysis and next steps. I'm using JMP Pro 17. The experiment objective: Maximize the capture/recovery of bacteria to magnetic particles. The setup: I picked out the 7 variables I thought could influence the outcome and tested them using 22 runs (2 blocks - it takes me 2 da...

  • How to obtain the optimum formulation

I have a new material made of different oxides. All of them have a fixed proportion, with only two oxides changing in a reverse manner, so their final proportion is fixed. Finally, I have six samples. I have used online software to study a specific response; hence, I finally have an energy column with 25 different values, with each one having its own unique response value for the specific composit...

  • DOE for serum cell assay optimization

Hello I am trying to optimise a cell based assay (process to culture T-cells) to work out combinations of factors (continuous i.e seeding density or process durarion) and levels optimal to lead to highest impact on my list of effects between my two categorical factors ( Serum A and Serum B)

Which DOE and analysis would you recommend?

I can opt for having as little as 2-3 factors and as high as 8-9 f...

  • How to analyze whether my DOE model is significant or not?

I ran CCD with 2 center points. I have only two factors and one response. The summary results and analysis of variance show a very low r-square value, and the p-value is also higher than 0.05. Is my model correct or incorrect? If incorrect, then what can I do to make it work?

  • SVEM: ¿Neural network or Lasso?

I am conducting a prediction model study with DoE mixtures (3 components) and a process factor and a response variable (quantitative). I am going to apply SVEM, but I have a question, what does it depend on when using Neural Networks or Lasso? Thank you for your answers.

  • Creating DOE (and fitting) for non-linear response

Hello, I am still new to JMP but I'm trying to determine the best way to model a non-linear system (generating DOE + model fitting). Context: Long story short, I have a large experimental space that I am trying to model (10 discrete variables + 10 continuous variables). Before I jump into my full experiment I'm working with a subset (1 discrete variable + 5 continuous variables) to make sure I'm m...

  • Robust vs. Non Robust Response Screening/ Categorical Outliers

Hello! I appreciate your help in advance!  I am currently trying to figure out the proper way to analyze my data!  I had used the DOE feature of JMP to create this fraction factorial of 24 runs for m experiment. The goal is two screen which categories have the most effect on the success rate. I had initially use the response screening option to analyze my results, when I did that none of my values...

  • Process development with multiple factors

Hi everyone, I'm currently engaged in a process development project with the goal of 1) minimizing the total process time while 2) maintaining or enhancing the yield. This objective is similar to viral vector production case, where maximizing virus yield in the shortest production time is crucial. After consulting with subject matter experts, we've pinpointed 10 factors for potential modification....

  • Do 3rd order effects help define curvature?

If you have are making a design with a factor you are certain will have a quadratic relationship against a response but you have a wide range, can it be helpful to define a 3rd order model effect for that factor to better identify and model curvature. I work in purification and we often deal with a recovery vs. purity balance. This relationship is usually quadratic around the optimal, where at a l...

  • Neural networks that learn and predict in real time (incremental learning)

Hello community!!A query:- How JMP is configured to generate neural networks that learn from their inputs in real time (incremental learning) in such a way that it continually updates its weights according to new inputs and generates updated real-time predictions.Greetings,Marco
