  • Mixture sum option for space filling design

Is there a way to specify a mixture sum other than 1 (i.e. 100%) when creating a space filling mixture design? I am aware this can be done using the custom design option, but I want to specifically make a space filling mixture design, and to my knowledge this can't be done through the custom design option. Thanks!

  • some experiments failed, what next can be done

Hello:I was working on a university project and performed a 3 factor (A, B, C) DOE, where 2 factors (A & C) had 3 levels and 1 factor (B) had 2 levels. All the factors were continuous. In total 18 experiments were done. Two experiments failed and I came to know this only after the tests were done (the outcome is not as expected, it seems that the combination of lower level of A and lower level of ...

  • DOE - How to handle uncontrolled factors directly affected by other factors using custom DOE

I am fairly novice to this stuff so I will define the situation. Please share your thoughts on the situation. I have two factors (Inputs A, B) that individually and directly affect factors C and D (Measurements). Increasing either A, or B leads to an increase in C and D. The issue is that currently, I am trying to decouple the benefits of A and B from C and D. I attempted an RSM DOE where I left C...

  • Creation of a DoE

Dear Sir/Madam, For an optimization study my team wants to use JMP to create a DoE design that maximizes output and minimizes the amount of experiments. We have 3 continuous variables (duration; velocity; volume) that have two levels each. To my limited knowledge a Full Factorial DoE would require 2^3 = 8 experiments. Is there a possibility to create a DoE design that requires less than 8 experime...

  • Looking for best DOE design

    Hello all,

I am struggling to find the best DOE design for finding best conditions to my protocol.I looked into documentation, assist to many webinar but canot manage to find the best one. So I need your help on that.I have 2 categorical responses (4 levels), 1 continuous factor and 1 categorical (2 levels) factor.
My continuous factor is concentration of a reagent. I need to include negative contro...

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...
