  • Custom design question

    I'm creating a DOE and haven't in a long time and I can't remember, For continuous levels you input low and high (-1 and 1) and when you make your design it generates different runs. So 3 question, if my variable is temp 50 to 100, how does my model explore temps between (if it's include center points how do I judge how many with such a sliding scale?). Also if my goal is to hit a target (say a di...

  • How was power calculated from anticipate rmse?

    Hi there,In the evaluate design platform, there is a power analysis section. within that section, one of the option I can set is anticipate rmse. It's default value is 1.I am wondering how the powers are calculated after I enter a new RMSE. what is the equation that calculate power from rmse. I can't find it everywhere.

  • DoE Augmentation three options not available

    Hi all,
    I have completed a screening experiment looking at the main effects. The model becomes highly significant if I add interaction factors during analysis. Now I want to augment the design and want to add the center point and RSM as well. Under the augmentation choices box, only options available are Replicate, Space Filling and Augment whereas Add Centerpoints, Fold Over, and Add Axial are gre...

  • D-Optimal Mixture Design variable constraints

    Hello,i am new to design of experiments and i run into a question. So i researching a mixture System and i have constraits as follows:0=<A=<25
    20=<B=<3045=<C=<80
    and now i would like to augment the design further to the following space
    0=<A=<1515=<B=<20 and
    80=<C=<85
    so the allowed design space would be something like a polygon. How can i do that in JMP?

  • sample size and power for linear mixed models

    Hello! It seems that there have no built-in options to directly calculate the sample size and power for linear mixed models in JMP. Then, how could I do such kind of power analysis? Thank you.

  • Mixture design doe

    I want to do a mixture design for a formulation with 4 components. I have two suppliers for the main component. Should I do one DOE with one categorical variable, or a separate DOE for each supplier?"

  • how to I combine two table matching a comma separated column

    I have two tables. I would like to merge the two table into single table but would like to match the wafer numbers (Column = Wafers). The single final table should have unique groups which may have resulted after merging two tables. I am looking for generic JMP script which can perform this operation. The final table should have these 6 columns :Group = Resulting from unique combinations of two ta...

  • Main Menu("command") - return value?

    If I open a file via open("filename"), the command returns a reference to the data table which can be used as dt = open("filename");If I trigger open viadt = Main Menu("open")it doesn't return a reference to the data table. In general, is there a way, when triggering a command from the Main Menu, to get the return value?e.g. a reference to a data table for a user defined file loader - or an error ...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

    We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...
