  • Profiler display of multilevel categorical Factors in “Fit Group”

Hello,I search a description what are the advantages in detail of the underneath shown Profiler display of multilevel categorical Factors in “Fit Group” with "personallity Stepwise". (two Top left graphs vs six left graphs in the lower Picture) Is there a paper available that explains why the two personallity/methods using different outputs. Can I switch the “Personallity: Stepwise” to the Graphic...

  • How to see Fit Definitive Screening Design active effect decisions by stage?

Using JMP 17.0, is there any way to see how it picked the effects it picked as active in the Fit Definitive Screening Report? For example, the Help file says in Stage 1 with fake factor or center point replicates, an estimator of error variance independent of the model is constructed.  Main effects are tested against this estimate and those with p-values less than a threshold p-value are considere...

  • Enhanced Log - n added after "column name"

Folks, In utilizing the Enhanced log with data tables that have long, descriptive column names, the output is placing a "n" after the variable name as shown in some examples below.  Normally, the "n" isn't produced when the column name is short and doesn't include non-alphabetical characters such as & or ,.  While the Enhanced Log code will run with these additional characters, I'd like to better ...

  • Tukey's One Degree of Freedom for Non-Additivity

Dear Community, I am a professor and I am (slowly) incorporating new JMP Pro content into my chemistry courses. One topic I cover is Tukey's 1 degree of freedom test for nonadditivity when you have non-replicated factorials. Are there any alternatives to run this test with JMP Pro (I haven't found anything online). thanksRita

  • How to add parameter after designing the experiment?

Hello,  I am new using JMP and DOE. I already created my costumed design and obtained the table with my treatments/trials. Would like to know how to add now parameter after getting the table with my trials? I could find how, but it creates a new table afterwards with new treatments, I would like to keep the old ones. How can I do this, without changing my treatments?  Thanks in advance. :)Kind reg...

  • Response Screening Effect Size - logistic

Related to the previous post How to get "Effect size" column with Response Screening functionality , I am also wondering how effect size in the response screening platform is calculated, specifically for categorical Y vs continuous X.  JMP help shows:  "When Y is categorical and X is continuous, the effect size is the square root of the average ChiSquare value for the whole model test."  Running b...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
