  • Analysis DoE result from two different equipment

I have two experiment result sets from two different equipment using same DoE design. Two equipments have same function, structure and perpose, only different in scale. I would like to show the equibalence betweent two result from two equipment.I tried to perform TOST, but there was a gap between two result which seems to come from scale difference. In my experience, the equipment B generally show l...

  • Set constraint of two factors in Custom DOE

I have 5 continuous factors. The sum of the values of 2 factors always has to be 100. Should I only enter 1 of these 2 factors in the design and constrain it in the range of 0-100? Or is there a way to add both factors and set a constraint for their sum to be 100 in Custom DOE?

  • How can I make the list's variable works for quantile/probability estimate in the "Fit Life by X"?

Hi All, I would like to make a script for reliability estimation. One of my tasks is to evaluate the estimated quantile/probability. In these expressions (please see the code below), if I list all the categories explicitly using list, such as {0, 1, 2, 3}, the expression works fine. However, if I use the variable for the list, then use the variable instead of explicitly writing the list in the cod...

  • Response Screening Effect Size - logistic

Related to the previous post How to get "Effect size" column with Response Screening functionality , I am also wondering how effect size in the response screening platform is calculated, specifically for categorical Y vs continuous X.  JMP help shows:  "When Y is categorical and X is continuous, the effect size is the square root of the average ChiSquare value for the whole model test."  Running b...

  • Prediction profiler from DOE model does not show anything.

Hi all,    I am rather new with JMP 15 and I would like your input regarding a DOE model issue I am having. I have seen some related topic, but not exactly to the same extend. ( Prediction Profiler  )   I have generated a DOE custom design with 6 factors (4 continuous and 2 discrete numeric) and RSM model. The 4 continuous have one center point, while the 2 discrete numeric are only the extremes v...

  • How to add a factor in an already planned DoE setup

Dear JMPxperts, I set up a Definitive screening design with 10 factors and we found out that we have to change some factors and factor ranges of this design. However we dont want to start from scratch again and generate a completely new randomized experimental plan, since we already invested some planning for the rest of the factors. How can I change factors to new factors in a existing plan and h...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
