• DSD for 4 continuous factors

  I have four continuous factors. I want to optimized the process that's why I clicked add blocks  with center runs to estimate quadratic effects. I click the script "Evaluate of Design" after making the table. I clicked RSM. The values of 2FI and Quadratic in Power Analysis are small. I also noticed that there is no quadratic term for my 4th factor.

• Default Signal to Noise in Power Calculation in JMP DOE platform

  For some reason (can't remember why - must be something I picked up a few years ago) I have always assumed in the default Power Calculation in the DOE platform (Power Analysis) with RMSE = 1 and Anticipated Coefficient 1 is calculated for a signal to noise ratio of 2 (ie the signal is defined as twice the size of the Anticipated Coefficient)Something I have recently seen on a DOE JMP webinar sugge...

• continuous factor needs to be treated like a mixture factor

  I have a factor I'd like to treat as continuous in order to assess curvature of response, but I need to restrain "total" to 100% a kin to a mixture setting. linear constraints on mixture dont allow to limit to equal as far as I can tell, rather only less then or greater then or equal too. Thoughts on how to address this problem?

• How to get script from a plot and save to the data table in JSL script?

• Should I consider power analysis in DOE?

  Somebody told me we need to keep power >=80% when evaluating a DOE, but why the power is so low when using PB design? For example, the power is around 0.27 if I run 12 experiments with 11 factors. Can I trust this design with such low power? Thank you.
