  • Fit two-level screening doesn't give the same result when replicated. Why?

Hello, I noticed something odd recently when running the "fit two-level screening" analysis in JMP under the DOE:Classical:Two-level Screening menu. With the exact same data table, the analysis does not give the exact same results (see below for three examples). While the A-B-C contrasts themselves are the same each time, the Null contrasts are not. So the half normal quantiles look different. Doe...

Hello everyone, I am using the response screening feature of jmp and I was wondering how the columns are calculated, especially the Effect Size column. My database contains discrete and continuous variables. I want to perform a first analysis by selecting only the categorical variables as explanatory variables
And a second analysis by selecting only the continuous variables as explanatory variables....

  • How to assign a variable to a string

Here is the example using arguments that assign a column property to a map role.  col<<Set Property( "Map Role", Map Role( Shape Name Use( "filepath to data table", "column name" ) ) );  I want to get the file path automatically and fill in to the "filepath to data table" in the arguments above. And this is how I get the path of the file: Logo_Name = Pick FIle(); Logo_Name_File = Open(Logo_Name); ...

  • can i move the 5 number summary away from the top of my graphs?

hello, i am making graphs with box plots and i want to display the 5 number summary on the graph.  the problem is that the 5 number summary always displays at the top of the graph, and it sometimes obscures the box plots, is there a way to change the location of the 5 number summary so it doesn't interfere with the graph???

The following code allows the selection of multiple leaf nodes from the partition tree via the Select Rows option. But, the partition window has to be closed after the user selects the leaf nodes for file creation of good and bad populations. Is there any alternative where the Partition window does not need to be closed? or any other function in place of the onClose() which I can use?   dt = Open(...

  • DOE with whole plots and blocking factor - how to improve the design?

I am trying to make a DOE for an experiment where I have one continues variable and two discrete numeric variables that are very hard to change (more information in the image below).   My questions are:1. I am running the test by columns in a 96 well plate, so is there a way to define that no matter how many runs are needed, a plot will always have up to 8 runs?2. As is, even with 192 runs in 24 p...

If I have a 4 factor optimization DoE with RSM, how can I identify, which factor effects are confounded with other effects. I know about the confounding matrix, buth How do I identify it when I have my final dataset collected an I analyze the data. Thanks a lot for your help!! Best Simon

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
