  • Split DoE

    Hi,
I designed DoE by RSM. I wonder if I can split the design and first step to try the main effects and then 2nd step to try the rest experiments for the 2nd order effects.
    Please advice

  • How to add histograms under column headings?

I was watching this really nice overview by Kevin Potcner, and at 5:19 he clicks a button in the very top left of the data table and says, "And a quick way to get a sense of what the data looks like in JMP is up here there's this little histogram button, and what it actually does is give me this little mini view of all the data, so I've got these histograms as you can see..." Seems like a neat fea...

  • Understanding the meaning of a lift curve

I'm trying to understand the meaning of a lift curve. If it starts very high (>4) but drops to 0 after .1 does that mean there is no predictive power for 90% of the population?

  • How to assign a list of values to specific list of rows (without for loop)

Is there a way to assign a list of values to specific rows in a column without for loop ? For instance, is it possible to assign the "new values" in the script below to row 1,5,7 on the Weight column ? The script below doesn't work. I know one of the way to do this is to use for loop, but I wonder if there are other methods without for loops.  dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Big Class.jmp" ); index = [1...

  • Intraclass Correlation

HiI need to compute the intraclass correlation for 2 readers who measured the same subject once each. I have rows of subjects with a column for each reader. It does not seem possible to do this with the MSA tool, which gives me an error when I try to use it (not enough information to compute standard deviation). SPSS does this with essentially one click (Reliability tool). Am I missing something? ...

  • User Input List for Regression Analysis

I have an input box where users can select columns to be run in a regression report. (Long story on why I want to do this.) This part works great. I then insert the list of columns into a list. When I try to put the list or even just a few of the column names into the regression report. It doesn’t work. What should I do to make this work?   The user input list readout looks like this: {"Column 1",...

  • Random blocking added to Covariates

I am trying to afix a random effect blocking variable to an existing design which I treat as covariates.  The program seems to be bringing in the blocking variable as a fixed effect.  How do I make the blocking variable a random effect?

  • Response Surface Design with 1 impossible configuration

Hi, I've just built an orthogonal response surface design with 8 contiunous parameters with the default axial value : 2.828. The problem is that 1 on my parameters it has no physical sens to go beyond the lower bond. So I have 1 exp that I can't do. Would you advise me to use a optimal design with a constraint, even if the quality of the plan is less than a response durface design ?Or just change ...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
