  • Rename File() and Copy File() both return 0

    Hi, I have a need to save a small data table as a csv but with an alternate file extension (*.blkl rather than *.csv). The Save As() function doesn't seem to allow for such a provision as near as I can tell so instead of saving the file with my desired filename I save it as *.blkl.csv and then attempt to either directly rename that file to the desired name or perform a copy+delete sequence to get ...

  • How to dynamically reference the y-axis of a scale box in Graph Builder using JSL

    Or anywhere for that matter.I'm writing a function that generates some specialist graphs for work. Im doing some extra drawing on the canvas and need the graph to re-adjust on the y-axis to fit everything in. I can achieve this by getting the max and min of every point I am plotting and setting those (+/- 5%) as my upper and lower limits. However, in order for the changes to take effect I need to ...

  • Windows > JMP > R Integration > R color names to JMP colors?

    Hi JMP Community,   I am currently working on a project based on the output of an R (WGCNA) program that returns cluster identification based on R color definition (see below for examples).   While I can manually retrieve the RGB code for each R color, I am looking for an automated solution to this tedious task. Has anybody automated this process?   Examples of R colors: darkorange

  • creating Filter Col Selector with options from expressions (dynamically)

    My goal is to create a Filter Col Selector in a modal window that applies a default "name contains" filter if one is given to the function. However, in the case where input to the function has a blank filter, it leaves open the filterbox so user is ready to input a filter. Here is example result of desired output if input was blank, vs "interval"Names Default To Here( 1 );

  • Nonlinear platform custom loss function - shrinkage estimation

    I would like to try to do nonlinear model fitting with the Nonlinear platform, using a custom loss function to do shrinkage parameter estimation, something that would be similar to the LASSO loss function for regression.   For example, if I have this non-linear model (Named "NLFunction" with a, g, c, and Tz as the parameters in the model) I would like to use a loss function like thiswhich is "sort...

  • JMP graph shown on computer is not the same as the JMP graph copied; phantom error bars appear

    JMP graph builder adds a SE bar for data not included in the graph.  This error bar is not shown when the graph is displayed on my computer screen.  It appears only when the graph is copied to save as a jpeg or tiff file.   Compare the two figures attached.  I assume that this bar is associated with the "summary statistic" which automatically selects "mean".  The option for "None" as a summary sta...

  • Discovery summit book signings - official list of books?

    Fellow JMP enthusiasts! During the 2024 Manchester Discovery Summit I was surprised to learn that the handing out and signing of books is a tradition. So, I am wondering whether there is a list of the books handed out & signed so far. If it exists, where to find it?I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Bitch" by Lucy Cooke, and I have a feeling "Hello World" by Hannah Frey will be a good read too.

  • Question About F-Tests in GLMMs with Binomial Errors

    Hi,
    I have a question regarding Generalized Linear Mixed Models (GLMMs) in JMP pro. Most statisticians consider it inappropriate to use F-tests or t-tests to evaluate predictor contributions in GLMs or GLMMs with binomial errors. This is because F- and t-tests are based on sums of squares, which assume normally distributed residual errors.
    While using a logit link function helps linearize the relati...

    I'm trying to run R code in JMP to create a plot. I succeeded in importing the plot in png format, but failed to adjust the size of the plot.
