Hello, when we fit a neural network model to a dataset and select the save formula option, the results are saved. For example, if I want to see the formula for H1_1, it is written as: 0.5 * ((-12.824088735563) + Match( :sex, 0, 6.99084931122274, 1, -(6.99084931122274 + 0) ) + -0.166405890007763 * :weight+0.436280476305382 * :age + 2.18056058975802 * :tumor size + Match( :family, 0, -3.24492142132...

  • Help with Anova, Effects, and Multiple comparisons

Hello,  I am trying to run an Anova on a data set I have from our lab. Briefly, we exposed some particles at 3 different sizes to some cells at 2 different doses and measured gene expression.  The issue I am running into is that when I go to perform my Anova it keeps giving me an error for my Dose and won't give me a P-value for it. As a result I cannot run a Tukeys-HSD post-hoc for my multiple co...

  • Replicated runs for accounting the variance

Hi ,    I had a custom design with 6 runs for having a model  to predict the effect of temp and speed on performance . I had 5 samples each from each run. But after having the results I understood that there is lot of variance within the performance of each sample. Iwant to  account include this variance in my model. I replicated each run 5 times and made a design of 30 runs. So I treated each sam...

  • Exclude data points from a regression line, but make them still visible in the diagram

Hey everybody! I used a training set of data points to create a linear regression (signal intensity as a function of substance concentration within samples), and applied the resulting formula on a test set of data points for a reverse prediction of the associated sample's substance content. Now I would like to showcase the data points of the training set, the regression line that visualizes the li...

  • Importing multiple text files with different decimal separators (dot vs comma from English vs European speakers)

It seems that, sometimes, JMP 18 struggles to import files with different regional settings. This is a problem for first-time users who need to load multiple text files from different lab machines (JSL should not be the only answer). For example, if I have Windows and JMP in English, decimal separators can be changed from default to European (e.g., 3,14 instead of 3.14). With that option activated...

  • Creating DOE (and fitting) for non-linear response

Hello, I am still new to JMP but I'm trying to determine the best way to model a non-linear system (generating DOE + model fitting). Context: Long story short, I have a large experimental space that I am trying to model (10 discrete variables + 10 continuous variables). Before I jump into my full experiment I'm working with a subset (1 discrete variable + 5 continuous variables) to make sure I'm m...

  • How do I make my custom map automatically fill with color

  • Load an OASIS (.oasis) Chip Layout File in JMP?

I have a .oasis file that contains layout data for a semiconductor die layout. Is it possible to load this file and view the layout in jmp 18? Similar to a Map file? Would then want to overlay defect location data on top of the die layout diagram.

  • Robust vs. Non Robust Response Screening/ Categorical Outliers

Hello! I appreciate your help in advance!  I am currently trying to figure out the proper way to analyze my data!  I had used the DOE feature of JMP to create this fraction factorial of 24 runs for m experiment. The goal is two screen which categories have the most effect on the success rate. I had initially use the response screening option to analyze my results, when I did that none of my values...
