I attended the keynote address that started the JMP User Conference this year. John Sall showed us many of the new features, with compelling examples. Some of these additions and enhancements are a result of user comments and requests. Others are the result of the insight of JMP R&D to make sure that JMP stays ahead of the pack by making state-of-the-art techniques accessible in ordinary situations. Some of the themes for JMP 7 seem to be visualization, integration, speed, and scalability.
Another theme, while not the most obvious, is Monte Carlo simulation. This one is important and demonstrates what I mean by the leadership of JMP R&D.
As a JMP trainer, I can see that my colleagues and I will be very busy this year revising our training materials and creating some new ones just to keep up with JMP 7!
